Question about PC Laptops

Toshiba black screen

When i power my toshiba laptop on, it powers on, the lights indicating that its on are lit, however all there is, is a black screen. within a few seconds of me turning it on however a box in the right han cornercomes up, you can barely even see it though, its the intel box, then it dissppears and goes black. its happened before and best buy fixed it, but im up on my warranty. can any help fix it?!!!

    my ibm thinkpad t30s screen wont go on at all. i tried running from only ac power but dusnt work. all the display light come on and 4 go off and the Z is left on.

You might have problem with your Operating System automatic boot up.you have to configure it in your motherboard BIOS settings.

This should be done by a good computer hardware expert.

it is difficult answer without looking into it.becuz it can be also be a other cause..

It may be from the cable that connects the screen to the systems at the back of the screen it may b bad or not properly inserted so check it

Toshiba Sattlite, boots but black screen. Caps Lock light is on and F10& F11 key is okay.


Corrupted operating system. Start over with a restore disc and if you do not have one buy one you will need it from the factory. Re-install the whole system over again. Insert the disc in the slot and power it on select boot from DVD or CD-Rom which ever you have. Follow the onscreen instructions. John

1. Remove the battery & switch on the PC in AC mode.
2. Check if battery charging indication or AC power on indication is glowing. if not then need to change ur motherboard.
3. If indication is OK, but could not power ON then check ur RAM for any loose connection or dust. clean & reinstall.
4. If still no display, connect an external monitor, check if display is comming.
5. If Display is coming then your LCD is faulty and need to replace.

Toshiba A105 keeps Restarting ---


maybe the power input is error
the uncorrect power input will result bad
or, it's your mobo broken

I re-started my toshiba A135 laptop, and the screen went black


There are dozens of possible root causes for your problem I guess.

But exactly the same happened to me in fact on a packard bell laptop. After my son forced it to reset, it didn't start again. Only one led was lit. After a long search I found that the battery had died and this prevented the laptop to start even when the power supply was plugged in.

Try this: remove the battery, connect it to the power supply and restart.

Toshiba setellite black out


Sounds like the back light on the screen isn't working properly which will need to be replaced if this is the case. Check for a very dark image on the screen when it is booting up in a well lit room, if you can see the computer start up then it is the back light.

plz try by resiting the ram, if the problem persist then you have problem in display adapter,send it to the vendor from whom you have bought

either it is set to use an external monitor, or the backlight or inverter is bad
