Recvery mode instructions:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My samsung BL103 camera takes good pics inside but ot outside. how do i fix

First make sure that you are in "Automatic" mode, and not in one of the camera's othe manual modes which may keep the shutter open for an extended period. But if you are indeed in auto mode, and it's still doing this, a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Canon Power Shot SD750 screen went black. Read solutions, not sure what TV mode is? Is it same as video mode?

Tv is "shutter priority" mode. The Canon SD cameras do not have that mode. Instead see Fix 5A of the below link. A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. Indoor pictures are fine; however, when I take a picture outside, it is "white." Have I accidently changed a setting? Thanks for your help.

First make sure your mode selector dial is set to the red camera WITHOUT an M next to it (ie it's in Auto and not Manual mode). If so...

Now the A430 is not capable of taking 15 second exposures as recommended for the fix. Instead try setting the camera to manual mode, turn off the flash, got to a darkened room, and take a picture. Open the battery door while the red and yellow light are flashing. If after many tries this does not work, then consider trying Fix #5a on the site. But do so with the camera turned off and the lens retracted to lessen the chance of damaging the lens mechanism.

My A460 camera has a diffrent kind of problem which is while clicking a photo in a daylight or well lighted area the picture contains very light where i cant see anything and when i make veido it works...

First make sure that you're in full auto mode and not in manual or any of the special scene modes. Check your rotating mode dial that its set to the first red camera by the blue arrow.

If you already are and were in auto, then a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).

Open the battery door while the red and yellow light are flashing. Repeat as the fix recommends, but please note that there may be only a small hope that this will work as the shutter may be stuck in the open position. This is harder to get unstuck than a closed shutter.
