Memory card locked

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My card is locked, how do i undo?

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position. There are also other common causes if the above didn't help, with troubleshooting steps for this problem listed here.

Canon powershot sx 110 is memory card error

If you know you still have pictures on this card then, take it out of the camera and put it in a computer, If you can see the pictures copy them then Format the card.

If you can't see any pictures try to use a free recovery software like Recuva (just google it to find where to download). Once the pictures recovered, format your card.

It the camera still shows file error, the card is certainly damaged.

Took about 50 pics and tried to see them on computer. Got the message "card locked." Now what?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

I can't figure out how to set the self timer from the manual on a canon powershot sx 110

For the SX 110 IS 9 mp camera: With the camera in picture taking mode, Hold the bottom of the roller dial down at the point closet to the timer icon. Hold it for a couple seconds, then the screen will display the timer settings. Select the setting you want and start taking pictures.
