What kind of material is the water supply line made of? Copper or plastic? The correct way to attach a copper line to a refrigerator is to slide the compression nut over the line, then slide the ferrule over the tube. Finger tighten the nut onto the water inlet. Then use two wrenches on attached to the inlet nut and the other to tighten the nut. If the nut is tight, there is no way for this to pop off since the ferrule and copper pipe deforms and becomes one as the nut is tighten.

If the water line is plastic, besides the compression nut and the ferrule you need an addition part which is the brass reinforcement. The brass reinforcement is a brass tube with a lip on the end. It is placed into the plastic water line before you tighten the water line compression nut. Make sure you have this brass reinforcement inserted in the plastic water line otherwise the water line can easily leak or pop off if the compression nut is not tight enough. Hope this helps you.

Cut water supply off to frig disconnect water supply line to frig water inlet valve turn water back on to make sure you are getting good water supplied to water inlet valve some times water cut off gets stopped up. If you are getting good water flow to water inlet valve then check to make water valve is opening up all the way. if not then replace valve.

Your condensate drain line is stopped up. Break the ice up off the freezer floor with a screwdriver handle. Turn off the refrigerator. Remove the back inside panel from the freezer. Break up the ice in the drip pan with a plastic handle. you can either heat up a wire with a torch and stick it in the drain to thaw the ice in the drain or set a hair dyer in the freezer until the ice melts in the drain. Then find a 4' piece of 3/8" tubing to stick in the drain and blow in the other end to remove any trash in the drain. you can use compressed air or weed eater line. anything that will clear the drain

I have a Frigidaire side by side frig, model FRS20ZKG. My supply inlet to the ice maker keeps freezing which after 2-3 cycles will not make any more ice because no water can make it to the tray. This...

The supply inlet to the ice maker is connected (via metal coupling) to the radiator-like-coils in the freezer which are actually hot and they keep the line from freezing. If this coupling is not connected close to a heat source, then the supply line can freeze as you are experiencing.

If possible reroute the supply line out of the freezer area

Water squirts out the back of my Kitchen Aid Superba where the water line enters the fridge. This happens when the ice maker tries to fill with water.

make sure that the water supply line is tight. the line that comes from the wall should be copper or stainless steel braided line. if it is the clear plastic line get rid of it as it is more prone to kink and leak especially at the points where the connections are made... another thing to check is where the supply line connects to the frig.. that is the solinoid valve and on the top is a blue or clear plastic cap and somtimes they will crack or have a small pin hole in them and will spray a very fine stream of water that is hard to see but can be felt on your finger tip.. pull out the frig and empty the ice tray and put it back in and close the freezer door or drawer and wait for the ice maker to call for water and have a bright flashlight ready, when it calles for water you will only have about 5-7 seconds to see where the leak is so make sure to feel around as well.; if your are replacing the ice maker supply line from the wall to the frig make sure to not over tighten the connection to the frig because it may cause that plastic cap to crack....I hope this helps....

Frigidaire refrigerator, ice maker

If the ice maker is doing the normal cycle and when calls for water doesn't get any, probably the fill tube to the ice maker is clogh with ice because the dual valve (solenoid) is leaking and this water freezes up clogging the fill tube , or the solenoid doesn't work ,in both cases it has to be replaced(it's located in the back of the refrigerator attached to the water supply line).

If its got a filter under the frig. just hook your water to the house water line. If not then put a filter in the cabnet next to your frig. Or in a handy place to get to. And you will have to hold your water lever for a long time till all the air gets out of the line. there is a extra long hose you must fill up in your frig side. It is used to keep cold water ready to drink.

hope this is helpfull

Ice maker & water dispenser won't work

I recently found out that the water supply lines are coiled up inside behind the frige on the refrigerator side moving the unit will cause those coiled up lines to shift to the freezer side of the unit, causing a freeze up,take the cardboard lower back off and move those lines further away from the freezer side of the unit, as one of those coiled up lines are to chill the water for the dispenser and the other is supply for the icemaker, this should fix your problem, becareful not to move them too far away from the freezer side as they are meant to chill the water for the dispenser
