Question about Cameras

1 Answer

My m1033 won't read the card and only lets me take 6 pictures and then says the internal memory is full. I get the pictures off the camera and card by connecting the camera to my computer, not with a card reader. But it won't let me get the pictures off the card anymore. Just happened yesterday. I removed the card and battery, and replaced them but that didn't help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

First, promise you will never use the internal memory again. Go ahead...promise. Now, do this: 1. Download any pics from the internal memory you want to save. Then, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. 2. Download any pics from the card you want to save. Then, with the card in the camera, do the format thing again. Everything should be ok from now on. By the way, using a card reader for downloads is what the pros do...you should too.

Internal memory can indeed be full. I would suggest however to purchase a memory card for this camera, which will give you quite a bit more memory than what is available internally.

I do not have a cable for my camera and my m1033 says "internal memory is full". I have a memory card with nothing on it in the camera.

The internal memory is separate from the memory card. This camera has a small amount of memory in the camera itself, that will let you take a few pictures, then the camera stops working because it needs some free space in this memory to work at all. It won't use the memory in the memory card until you delete some of the pics in the internal memory to give it elbow room.

My camera is saying that internal memory is full and go to reviewand i have downloaded all my pictures to my computer

If all the pictures in your internal memory are safely on your computer, then, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, download the pictures from your card to the computer...use a card reader if necessary...then, do the format thing again only this time with the card in the camera.

Camera is M1033. Two relatively new batteries. Both have worked well. Now I get a brief message...internal memory is full. Then camera shuts off.

Connect the camera to your computer to transfer the photos onto your computer's hard drive. Then you should insert a memory card into the camera. With a memory card you should be able to and clear the internal memory and take more pictures.

I continue to get a message saying the internal memory is full. I have a memory card in the camera. Do I have the mode or something set wrong. It will not add pictures to memeory card.

First, format the internal memory with your memory card out of the camera. Then, go into the setup menu and scroll to "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions. Put your memory card back in the camera. It should work after that.

I have a kodak M1033 camara with a SD HC PNY optima 240 HD 16 GB and the camara says internal memory is full and is only 1/2 minute video in the camara please help

Hi!
Sonds like the camera hasn't switched to the memory card. Go to setup and set memory to Auto not Internal. If that doesn't help, it's possible that the camera doesn't support 16GB card, but it should give you a card error then, so check the memory settings first.

Switching from internal memory to memory card

Push the MENU button and advance through the options until IMAGE STORAGE comes up. Setting this for AUTO will route all new pics to the memory card, using internal memory only if the card is full.

Kodak M1033 does not recognize memory card

  1. Turn camera on
  2. Push the options/settings button (the button next to the view/playback button)
  3. On the Capture Screen move over to "Setup"
  4. Move down to "Image Storage" and make sure its set to "Auto" {if not select it and set it to Auto}
  5. If already set to Auto, change to Internal Memory.
  6. Power off and power back on then follow steps 1-4 to set back to Auto.
If this still doesn't work, backup pictures from internal memory to computer then delete all pictures on internal memery. Camera should automatically prompt you to change to memory card.
