Service light is not consumer fixable
you need to call intex and request a warranty form that they will e-mail you
Fill it out and fax back to them
it must be under 2 years old and you must have a valid receipt
one will be at your door in a few days

Ok Dont listen to this guy, this is the whole point of the site is to help people fix stuff, he probonly works for intex. i see he has posted this on a bunch of times.

If its in warrenty call them they will send you a new one, if its out of warrenty check your circuit board for corrision. to do this UNPLUG the system, take the 4 screws out of the peice with the display on it and pick it up there you will find a circuit board. Mine had a corroded resistor. i went to radio shack found a new one (a two pack for $1.50) soldered it on good to go works great. This seems to be a common problem i have read online.

My generator first indicated low salt. I've added plenty of salt, and it still indicated low salt. I turned it off for 24 hours, and tried it again, now it has the service indicator light on,what next ?

We've found with our saltwater system (which doesn't have a service light, so not the same model as yours) that we have to add far more salt than we expect before the 'low salt' indicator goes off. It also seems to be very tempramental whenever it's been off for a while (such as over winter) & needs to run for very short bursts at first before working up to normal operating times.

Manual for a urc4021b00

I've the user manual for your remote control URC-4021. It includes operating instructions to synchronise it with different devices, including setup codes. I can't send it to you by this window. You've to buy one amoung my services advertised on Fixya site. Unlike old Fixya site, the now has no facility to upload PDF files. If you want to get, the user manual, a printable version, you have ot buy one amoung my services. You can get my services by Google. Type in "gopakumarg43" in Google search box, and click on the link. You can see the advertised service of mine there. Select the Universal Remote Codes service and proceed. When you've finished, Fixya will provide a link between us, thorough which I can send the manual to you. OK.

What is the recommended end-of-season maintenance for the chlorinating pump?

According to the Intex website, the following maintenance is required for this product:

The Intex Saltwater Pool Systems are designed to operate with a minimum amount of maintenance. It is recommended to always turn the pump on prior to turning on the Saltwater Pool System (see Owner's Manual) unless the chlorine generator is part of a combination pool and filter set, to ensure that air pockets are eliminated from the hoses, and that water is flowing through the unit. In addition, the electrolytic cell should be examined and cleaned if necessary. The frequency of cleaning will depend on the local water conditions, pool usage conditions, and length of time the Saltwater Pool System is operated each day. (See Owner's Manual.)

The Intex Saltwater Pool Systems contain several features that minimize maintenance requirements:

1.) An automatic self-cleaning cycle: The Saltwater Pool System automatically undergoes a self-cleaning cycle to maximize the operating length of the electrolytic cell.

2.) Safety diagnostics: the Saltwater Pool System will alert the operator to three conditions that could result in poor operation: Low water flow through the unit, Low Salt level in the pool water, High salt level in the pool water. If any of these conditions exist, the system will sound a buzzer, and flash a digital code on the control panel (Model 8110) or a Red LED will light up. (Model 6110).If the condition is not addressed, the system will automatically shut itself off to prevent damage to the unit.

Have an intex 16 x48" salt water pool generator

I checked the Intex web site and here is what they said:

There are several things you may need to check and do:

- Test the salt level first with Test Kit, and add salt as needed.
- Remove the electrolytic cell for inspection and clean it if necessary.
- If code 91 still appears despite the above steps, there might be a possible electrolytic cell
failure. Please contact Intex Service Center, and replace the cell if needed.

NOTE: Always turn the power off and disconnect power cord before cleaning and servicing.

I hope this helps.
