Check and make sure the heating pad gets hot if it does not then in the bottom inside the Base you will have to take it apart and under the heating pad their will be some wires their will be a thermal resistor that will be attached to a part of the element this part needs replacing and can be purchased at radio shack for about $1.50 replace it with the new one and reassemble as it was then try the unit. it should be working fine if the heating pad gets hot then you have another issue most likely the water tube come loose at the bottom of the water tank simply re-attach and reassemble some times wile filling the tank when the unit is still hot a steam shock will force the tube off. explanation of the workings the water tank supply water to a tube that attaches to the heating element the water runs though the element heating by the time it reaches the other side it is hot enough to force the water to the top where it is expended to the coffee grounds and brews the coffee like the same way a peculator pot works only difference is the water runs through a tube under the heating element instead of a fire under the pot. hope this helps the radio shack link for the thermal resistor or thermal fuse is the proper name is http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=thermal&origkw=thermal&sr=1
chose the proper temp most are for home use at 128°C (262.4°F) Thermal Protector Fuses

I just bought this coffee maker. I love it but the most I can program it to keep my coffee hot is 4 hours. I want it hot all day. What can I do? When it goes off, I can't even turn it back on again, even...

It is supposed to hold the coffe hot for 59 minutes , no more . After that it shuts off , fire hazard . Then you are supposed to wash it and make new coffe . Coffe after one hour tastes burnt , no good . Always make fresh new coffe .

Your water pump or volumetric counter can be clogged. Or the 3 way valve on the back of the unit is stock on the closed position or bad.

Water will not pass through seems clogged

Sometimes coffee grounds get into the intake if you don't use the intake filter. Unplug, set the pot aside and then turn the coffe maker upside down in a sink with a good hose sprayer. Direct the water up into the intake side of the coffe maker with the filter out.

Then refill and see if water will flow through. If it works, run vinegar or a pot of water with a tablespoon of dissolved baking soda (dissolve in pot first or it will clog the coffee maker).

It worked for me.
