Just right off hand does your rear speakers have a port so that air traped can be released if you port your box sound would get better
air inside of a speaker box has no where to go so it bounces off the speaker makin it vibrate out perfect harmony

also some stations and cd's can have a bad tune too them or signal which can give distortion greatly not appreciated sound
but i would go with the port suggestion first
when i built my first speaker box from scratch i found out the smaller the box the more air would dammage the speakers so i ported the boxes sound increased so much better
bigger the box better the air flow and bass

How to remove the harmonic balancer on a 2005 x5 4.4l

If you are removing the harmonic balancer for repairs, you will need to remove the engine and use a harmonic balancer bolt puller.
Do not try to remove this and run the engine. This will cause crankshaft failure due to the engine vibrations caused by the firing cylinders.

How to replace a Dorman Harmonic Balancer on a 2001 Chevy venture van

What is a Harmonic Balancer?
The Harmonic Balancer, or vibration damper, is a component connected directly to the front of the engine on the crankshaft. Its sole purpose is to reduce torsional vibrations created by the engine as the cylinders fire.

What causes Harmonic Balancer failure?
There are a variety of possible causes for balancer failure. Most common among these are heat stress, wear from road salt, oil leak, or ozone attacking the rubber components, damage inflicted by road debris, crankshaft failure, stress from integrated drive pulleys, and stress caused by loads from other devices such as power steering pump, AC compressor, alternator, air pump, and water pump.

Why is the crank pulley dampered?

No, you do not want to replace the crank pulley with a solid one. The hub is also know as a Harmonic Balancer. The explosions that happen inside of your engine cause vibrations or harmonics, the balancer greatly reduces these vibrations. Without the ruber insulating ring the harmonics can cause part failure at certain frequencies.

Harmonic body vibrations at highway speeds

Check engine mounts. If it is a rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive- inspect driveshaft(s) for damage or missing weights. Also check universal joints for wear, and the rear driveshaft slipyoke for leaks and wear. If there is a leak, the rear seal and bushing should be replaced.

If front wheel drive, inspect drive axles for damage, and inspect the steering components for damage or wear.

This is a 1974 charger,360 ,4bbl,auto-problem is engine vibration. engine is running good, butvibrates almost like a miss, noticeable even in neutral, but more noticeable as the rpms are higher.when...

Hi,

vibrations over 55 mph are usually balance related (tire balance, drive shaft balance, motors)

vibrations at lower speeds are usually mechanical (bent rims, out of round tires, bad tie rods)
Therefore the suggestion for checking the harmonic balancer is perfect in your case.

Thanks
