1/4" NPT, be sure that you only remove the fitting and not the entire bushing that fits in the bung.

Hope that helps,

What is the drain plug below the transmission drain plug on a 2003 fxstb (night train). I thought it was the transmission drain plug but once I only got about 2 oz of fluid I realized it wasn't.

The softails use the horseshoe type oil tank. If you'll look just under the tank on the right hand side of the bike, you'll see a large hose that comes out of the bottom of the tank and goes behind the transmission and on down the frame to very bottom of the bike. There is a crossmember running under the transmission and this hose connects to it. It's behind the exhaust pipes. On the bottom of the crossmember, there is a drain plug that screws up into the crossmember. This is the oil drain.

Ride Safe.

How do you drain crank case oil on my 2004 road king

A Harley-Davidson engine is what is known as a "dry sump engine" in that it doesn't carry it's oil supply in the crankcase but rather in an external oil tank. In your RK, that oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. There are two drains on the bottom of the oil tank on the bottom of the transmission. One looks like a plug and the other looks like a recessed pipe plug. The large plug on the left front corner of the pan is the engine oil drain. The smaller pipe plug type drain is the transmission drain.

What is involved in changing oil in 2005 softail deuce

find the oil drain plug. Look at the bottom of the oil tank from the right side. You'll see a large hose going down behind the transmission and on down to the very bottom of the frame. It connects to a crossmember on the bottom of the frame below the transmission. There is a drain plug that screws in the crossmember from the bottom, Remove the plug to drain the tank.

Remove and replace the oil filter with the correct filter.

Add three quarts of oil to the oil tank after reinstalling the drain plug.

How do I drain the radiator in a 1998 Cadillac DeVille?

The radiator drain is on the drivers side all most to the bottom of the tank. Remove the bottom shield, then gently move the lines that may be blocking access to the drain plug. The plug has 2 wings, Just loosen it the plug does not have to come all the way out. You may have to put a small screwdriver in the drain hole (on the bottom of the side tank of the radiator to get the radiator to drain) Also remove the cap on the surge tank.Hope this helps

Changing engine oil

From the right side of the bike, look along the bottom side of the oil tank. You'll see a hose or line coming from the bottom of the tank and going downward toward the transmission. It runs down along the frame to the bottom of the frame and has a plug in the end of it. Remove the plug and the oil drains out of the tank.

Good Luck

Where is the drain plug

The oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission in your bike. There are two drain plugs on the bottom of the oil tank. The one closest to the center is the transmission oil drain. The drain on the left front of the oil pan is the engine oil drain.

Have a Mr. Heater 175000 BTU that is leaking at the bottom were the drain plug is located. The O-ring is cracked, I need a replacement for the O-ring. What size do I get?

Tip the heater up so that the fuel is away from the drain plug hole and take the plug to an auto parts store. They have bulk o-rings there and can fit the needed O'ring to your plug.

I checked the parts manual:

http://www.mrheater.com/upload/newsletter/mh_50_75_125_150_175_210_BL.pdf

There is no drain plug listed for the tank. Only the tank assy. (Item 2)

You might even be able to get a copper crush washer similar to what is used on an automobile or motorcycle oil drain plug.

I think there water inside carb but not sure how to take it apart engine keeps spluttering and cutting out even wen there a full tank of fuel

Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower side or a plug on the bottom of the float bowl. Remove the screw or plug then replace it after the fuel drains. Below is a generic carburetor showing a large plug at the bottom of a float bowl.
