Question about ID Tech Omni Slot Reader Barcode Scanner
I have an Omni Combined bar code and magnetic stripe reader. When you swipe a card, it more often than not does not read the numbers correctly. They will be backwards or add digits. In reading the Quickstart manual, it says some computers are expecting the data rate from the keyboard port to come in at a keystroke rate, and might not be able to accept it as fast as the reader is transmitting. Try adjusting the intercharacter delay to simulate the effects of keystroke delays.
I have no clue how to adjust the intercharacter delay.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've already contacted the vendor of the application to make adjustments to the data rate in his program. I believe this is a software issue rather than a hardware problem.
It took me alot of reading and searching online..... no tech support came through for me.
