Unless you look into to see a first hand infomatiion the cost cannot be confirmed. So please take a good look and find the cost of the component , like the motor or valve, but have an estimation in mind to decide whether to fix or replace.

Replace fuse dryer model GEQ8821LLO

Hello;
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
You never explained what the problem was. Dryer not running? No heat? Dryer shutting down. It could be as simple as cleaning out your dryer hot air distribution manifold. A dryer will not run if you do not have good air flow due to lint blockage. A dryer will not run if you have a bad door switch. You can Ohm components out with a multi-meter, setting the meter to the lowest Ohms (Omega Symbol). You should get a reading of "0" if the component is good.

1.) Dryer Door Switch - This switch replaces your dryer door's switch.
  • You may need to remove your dryer's lint screen and lint screen housing before lifting its top panel to reach its existing switch.
  • Be sure your dryer is unplugged during installation.
This Dryer Door Switch part #3406107 Cost $20.00

Dryer Door Switch - Unplug the dryer before replacing the door switch.
This Dryer Door Switch part #279782 Cost: $22.00

Thermal Cut-Off- This component is located on your heating element housing,. you may be able to access it at your hot air distribution manifold in the back of your unit.
  • When replacing your dryer's fuse, replace its thermostat, too. The thermostat should have prevented the dryer's existing fuse from blowing. The high-limit thermostat is functional to 250 degrees (Fahrenheit) and the thermal cut-off fuse to 360 degrees (Fahrenheit).
  • Install the fuse in your dryer's heater element housing box. Be sure your dryer is unplugged during installation

  • Part #: 3977394 Cost: $33.00

    Hot Air Distribution Manifold:
This is in the back of your dryer and easily unbolted. If you are plugged up with lint your unit will shut down. Remove this component and clean the lower discharge end.

There is no reset button, the issue is most likely a heating element

My whirlpool dryer comes on and runs good but it wont get hot can you tell me whats the problem

Hello there and welcome to fixya there are several things that could make this dryer not heat up
Here are the most common things

    Thermal Fuse

If the dryer doesn\'t heat, but the drum
turns, check the thermal fuse(s). The thermal fuse protects the dryer
from overheating and helps to prevent fires. If the thermal fuse is
blown, it will have to be replaced.

    Gas Valve Solenoid

The gas valve has two or more electric
solenoids which open the valve to let the gas flow into the burner
assembly. If the dryer doesn\'t heat one or more of the solenoids may be
defective. If the igniter glows for 90 seconds but the burner flame
doesn\'t light, replace these coils as a set.

    Dryer Igniter

If the dryer doesn\'t heat, the igniter might
be burned out. Check the igniter for continuity with an ohm meter. Dryer
igniters burn out over time, similar to a light bulb.

    Heating Element

The heating element on an electric dryer can
burn out over time. If the dryer doesn\'t heat, the element should be
checked for continuity. The heating element cannot be repaired and must
    be replaced if defective.

    Heating Element Assembly

the heating element assembly on an electric
dryer can burn out over time. If the dryer doesn\'t heat, the element
assembly should be checked for continuity. The heating element assembly
cannot be repaired and must be replaced if defective.

    Flame Sensor

Gas dryers have a flame sensor to detect the
heat given off by the flame. If the dryer doesn\'t heat, the flame sensor
might be defective. Check the flame sensor for continuity. This is not
as common as a burned out igniter or thermal fuse.

    High Limit Thermostat

Although not common, if the dryer doesn\'t
heat the high limit thermostat can be defective. It can be checked for
continuity. If the thermostat is "open" the dryer doesn\'t heat.

    Cycling Thermostat

    The cycling thermostat regulates the
temperature of the air in the dryer. If the dryer doesn\'t heat it may be
caused by a defective cycling thermostat. This is not common.

    Main Control Board

The main control board is normally not at
fault when the dryer doesn\'t heat. Check all of the other components in
this troubleshooting guide before replacing the main control board. The
main control board cannot be tested easily and must be replaced if it is
    defective.

    Timer
The timer is normally not at fault if the
dryer doesn\'t heat. In many situations where timers are replaced they
end up being returned. Check all of the more common components in this
troubleshooting guide before replacing the timer

DRYER STOPS/STARTS DOESN'T GET HOT ENOUGH

dryer duct blockage caused thermal limiters to trip. four t 20 screws remove the heater bank cover on the back of the dryer. unplug the dryer. unplug the dryer. did i forget to mention, unplug the dryer? remove the heater bank cover, and press the three red buttons in the center of each thermal limiter. at least one of them should click when you press it. replace the cover, plug the dryer in. it will now heat, but if you dont fix the blockage it will trip again.

MY DRYER HEATS ALL THE TIME IT IS PLUGGED IN..I HAVE TO KEEP IT UNPLUGGED SO IT WON'T HEAT..IT HAS GOTTEN SO HOT THAT IT HAS MELTED PART OF ONE OF THE PLASTIC DIVIDERS IN THE DRUM..WHAT WOULD BE THE...

This could potentially be a very dangerous situation. If you would forget, leave clothes or something else flammable on top of the dryer and leave the dryer plugged in, you could come home to a house burned to the ground, not even considering what could happen if someone was in the home at the time. If it has been hot enough to melt one of the clothes tumblers inside the drum, it could, conceiveably have been hot enough to have melted some of the insulation off some of the wiring inside the unit. The only way to tell for sure would be to disassemble the unit to have it inspected, which could cost a fair sized bill in itself, not to mention what it could cost to replace that wiring. In light of this I would suggest just starting a search for a new dryer. Sorry.

    Dryer doesn t get hot

it is going to be either the igniter for the gas or the heating element
you probably have an electric igniter. it is not igniting the gas to make the dryer heat i would definantly start with that
