Iphone Frozen in Boot Screen

Dear friend,

Tks for your answer, however, when I perform the restore by iTunes, the same behavior happens, which means the iphone keeps in the boot screen frozen.

I really don't know what to do. Would it be possible to perform a "lower level" restore? By hardware in the worst case? Maybe the best way supposed to be connect some boot SW script.

Have you already lead with this kind of "more complex" errors with iphone?

    Tks for your response..

    Unfortunately it has not worked.

I suppose it is a serious and more complex problem instead of a simple locking.

    I am really messed...

If the software fix doesn't resolve it you can always replace the logic board, the part is on Ebay. Here's a guide on how to disassemble an iPhone. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you. If you want to pay to have somebody else do it for you there are third party iPhone Repair Services.

Hello again!

try to restore option first on your iphone.

step 1: Make sure you have an Internet connection and have installed iTunes 7.4 or later from .

Step 2: Connect iPhone or iPod touch to your computer.

Step 3: In iTunes, select iPhone or iPod touch in the Source pane and click the Summary tab.

Step 4: Click "Check for Update." iTunes will tell you if there's a newer version of the iPhone or iPod touch software available.

Step 5: Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore iPhone or iPod touch to its original settings (this erases all data on iPhone or iPod touch). Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.

Ive had my iphone for almost 2 years and my friends played a trick o me and locked my phone up to where i have no access and it tells me to hook up to itunes but it dont work.

Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. You may have to hold the buttons down for up to 20 seconds before anything happens. Afterwards, your device should restart and return you to the Home screen.Nov 30, 2013

I was upgrading my i phone 3G with the new version of I tune and left it overnight to download, in the morning I see the icon of the connect symbol on my iphone screen and nothing else could be done. I...

Thank you for your inquiry regarding your iPhone 3G Farid.

The issue with your iPhone 3G going to the iTunes with USB screen mode, is an indication that the upgrade you attempted to perform somehow removed the previous iOS (iPhone Operating System) you were using prior to the upgrade you were attempting achieve.

As a result, you are correct. Because you are connecting your iPhone 3G to another computer, you would not be able to sync with the other computer's iTunes library, without risk of losing all of your media on the iPhone 3G.

To resolve this issue, you would need to attempt to perform a restore back to the factory settings on the computer that contains the iTunes library you have original synced your iPhone 3G with.

This process will wipe the data from your iPhone 3G, yes, but if you have previously synced your iPhone 3G with that iTunes library on the computer in the past, that means the iTunes library will have some previous back ups from those past syncs you have performed with your iTunes library.

If that is the case, then when you perform the factory restore Farid, you will then need to follow up and perform a restore from your most current back up process in iTunes, so you can restore your iPhone 3G back to its most current settings and data, contacts, and pictures.

For a support page reference on how to perform a factory restore and a restore from a previous back up her is a link I would like to provide you for review:

You can also use a software solution if you do want to safely transfer your data from your iPhone 3G to another computer with another iTunes library on another computer if you so choose.

One of the better software titles I recommend is called: Media Widget iPod Transfer Software

This is a great software solution for any iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad product.

Let me know if this helps. If you have more questions regarding this issue or what I have provided,, please free to reply back to this post.

I was playing a video game app when the battery ran out. the phone shut off like it has before when the battery dies.I plugged it in and when i looked at it moments later it had gone to the black screen...

This may be the case if you jailbroke your iPhone and it was a tethered jailbreak. You may need to rejailbreak it again depending on the version of your iPhone if you can still remember it. Most of the time, redsn0w can help your iPhone go back to its jailbreak mode again. You can search at for more details about booting up your tethered iPhone. If you're not jailbroken, then it is a different scenario. Can you try to plug it in your computer and see if it'll be detected in iTunes. If it was detected in iTunes, you can try to check if your iPhone can get out of the Apple logo screen by putting it on DFU mode (hold both home and power buttons for 10 seconds then release power button and continue holding home button until it's detected by iTunes). After it was detected by iTunes, you can try to hard reset it to see if it'll boot up normally and go back to the slide to unlock screen. Hard reset means pushing both home and power buttons until you see the Apple logo. If all else fails, put it again in DFU mode and then just restore it in iTunes.

IPhone 2g will not boot to Apple logo or turn on.

Have you tried holding the power button and the home button on the front for around 10secs?

Try this, the Apple logo should appear and get the phone to boot up.

If that doesnt work, boot up your computer and make sure you have the most recent version of itunes on it and then hold down the home button on the front of the phone while plugging into your computer and keep holding down the home button until you get a message on itunes saying an iphone has been detected in recovery mode. Then release the button and restore your iphone as a new iphone

**** Because your phone wont power on and it has been restarted this way you need to restore as a new iphone to get it to work again meaning you will loose any info on the phone ****

Make sure you update your phones software its most likely a factor to your phone shutting itself down.

Ive put the details below on how to restore your iphone, while restoring it will automatically update it for you - (after holding the home button and receiving the message on itunes follow the restore info)

Hope this helps :0) - Please Leave Me Feedback

  1. Select the Restore option.
  2. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (as seen in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
  3. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your phone).
  4. Once the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:
iPhone only: For the iPhone only, after a restore, the iPhone displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or you see "iPhone is activated." If iTunes does not have an Internet connection, you cannot complete this step.
    ht1414_06--connect-002-en.png ht1414_07--activated-002-en.png
  5. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. Once your device is restored and-in the case of the iPhone-in the process of activating, you should be able to see the following in iTunes:
Select set up as a new iPhone :0)

You can restore your iPhone if you don't know the passcode this can be done by :

  1. While your iPhone is turned on connect it to iTunes via USB cable
  2. Once iTunes has recognised the iPhone turn your iPhone off and DO NOT disconnect it.
  3. Turn your iPhone on while pressing the home key
  4. When the Apple Logo appears let go of the power key but keep pressing the home key until the screen goes blank
  5. This will put your iPhone in recovery mode and your PC will recognise it as "iPhone DFU mode"
  6. Once this happens go back to iTunes and you will have the option of restoring your iPhone.

Frozen Apple Logo

if itunes recognizes the phone use the restore option if not you need to perform a force recovery mode. to do this hold power and home screen buttons until the screen resets when it does keep holding the home screen button and plug in the phone to the computer after a few seconds itunes should see a phone in recovery mode and force you to do a restore. if that does not work you might have a hardware problem and will need to go to a store.
