That is the drain which may be clogged. Look for hose in pan by compressor and use one of those cans of air to blow out computer keyboards.

SOURCE: TRUE COOLER COMPRESSOR CYCLES ON 45 SECONDS AND OFF FOR 2 MIN.

The unit has a temperature swing adjustment screw located behind the thermostat plate. If you remove the knob and the face plate you will see it,It can be adjusted there. It may also be the thermostat bulb is going bad or touching something and giving a false signal to the compressor.

SOURCE: true cooler td 65 24.

All commercial beverage boxes will have shipping retainer screws holding the compressor tray in place, usually 1 or 2 on the lower cabinet outside tray base. (although, a few years of drain waste into tray may glue tray in as well.. lol).

Check your evaporator drain pan and the outlet for the condensate water, and make sure the drain tubing is clear. That water is supposed to drain outside the box.

I own a true 2 keg beer cooler and it has recenty been not able to turn off the cooler and freezes the beer. is this a problem with the thermostat or something else?

This is probably the thermostat stuck closed and bad. Turn the tstat all the way to left or counter clock wise. The compressor should turn off.If the compressor continues to run the tstat is stuck and bad. A good replacement tstat would be Ranco # A12-1560.

True cooler td 65 24. what is holding the sled in place

I think you are referring to the condensing unit that the compressor sits on. Look on the rite side of the unit near the bottom. There you should find 1 3/8" screw that runs through the side of the unit into the "sled" thus holding it in place.

Some of this TRUE don't have service valves, but you can put a tapping valve (A1) in the appendix (small piece of pipe comming out of the compresor and seal on the other end).To check the pressure you need to know what type of refrigerant is in the system .If is 134a the low side should be about 24psi and the high around 160 it could vary depends how hot is inside the place and the fridge but not much more than 200.If you working with R22 pressures be around 60 low and 250 high side.

1st check the outter coil and make sure you can shine a flash light through the coil. If not blow out with compressed air and look again. A dirty coil may be your problem.

2nd check the inside coil it may be blocked with frost - ice
3rd the fan both in and out have to be running.
4th check the door seals

you could be low on refrigerant or have a bad thermostat but eliminate all else before going to these 2 problems.

turn thermostat all the way to the left to turn it off. restore power and see if it stays on and inside fan is running. Then turn thermostat to rite to turn on compressor. If the power trips when turning thermostat back on, the compressor may be bad. :(
