Question about NorStar T7316E Telephone

Two lines showing active but no one is on the line

We have three diffrent # coming in and accidently presse one of the line with only the dail tone and tranfered or cornfrenced on to the other # and now both lines show that they are in use but we are not able to access the lines from any of the phones in our office and now they also can't recieve phone calls on those lines and calls go straight to voice mail. Please help to find solution on how to disconnect this call. or get access to that line and drop the call.

    We the same problem when one of the phone was used for learning to transfer or conference call, suddenly all the lines became in use, nothing is free to use.  You can still call the Number but the answering voice service of Bell will kick in in right away.  How do we reset the system to default or how we can free up all the lines?  Is this another scam so we can call service or programmers so we can be charged.  Old phone lines are getting obsolete and even Nortel is getting bankrupt which made the hardware and the system they are using....

Unplug power from the system and let it sit for a couple seconds.....then replug in....

Cannot get the pulse tone off the line and that prevents from voicemail access and call forwarding HELP!


In guessing that since your lines have defaulted to pulse dialing that you have an older Nortel system such as an 8x24 or a 6x16 system. That being said you'll need to program touch tone dialing on each line.

Programming is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 sets.
To set up ringing you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
the display says A. Configuration
4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming
Press the show key (top right arrow)
the display will say1. trunk/line data
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
the display will say line 001.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
the display trunk data
press the show key (top right arrow) Press the next key 7 times(bottom right arrow) .
The display should say Dial mode: pulse.
Press the Change soft key (below the display).
the display should now say tone. press the heading key (top left arrow) to get back to "trunk/line data" repeat the steps for the remainder of your active lines
press Rls when finished

No Dail tone on Line 2. We have 4 lines in total. Today when we pick up line 2, it's open and there is no dial tone. How do we fix this?


It's a good bet that the line is dead before it comes into the building. Call your service provider and start a trouble ticket.

My phone says 'No Line' what does that mean?


it means that there is no phone line active at that outlet. you may need to call your local phone service provider to activate that line or move the phone to an outlet that is active.

I cannot dail out on my line . I get a dial tone but cannot dail out.


Have you changed anything, or did this just happen?

Usually this happens when the lines get reversed on a jack.

It is possible that the lines were reversed coming into the house, or at an individual jack.

If you have more than one jack in the house, try the phone in another jack, and see if it works.

Samsung 816 power outage dailing an outside line


First thing you should verify a dial tone on the fax machine. (use any analog phone)
If you have dial tone, press 9 and then a number
Second is it conected through tel. system? (did it have an internal extension) and there is no dial tone then your analog port may be fried. Call your telephone vendor. He should be able to help you.
You can purchase a manual for about 10 dollars

Handsfree mute always on


your phone is not dying. Once you pick up a phone press 9. This will automatically grab a line. Dial your number.

Our company has a Panasonic kx-t7731 main line has no dail tone.


On that phone, press PROGRAM the button and dial 01 STORE.

Press program again to exit programming.

It's not likely you'll be needing the Group Log In/Out button.

My phone number wont ring, do i need a code?


there can be three reasons for the same :

1. the ringer can be off, please turn it on.

2. please refer to your phone manual and check for ringer related settings.

3.please check do you have a dail tone coming in the jack you have connected your phone. if not, please contact you telephone line provider.

Programing


Here are some suggestions Volume You may adjust the ringer, speaker, handset and headset volumes independently with the VOLUME ^ and VOLUME v buttons. Your telephone comes with predetermined settings which can be adjusted to individual taste. You will hear an error tone when the maximum or minimum volume level is reached. During volume adjustment, a ?dashed line? icon shows in the display. Adjusting the Ringer Volume Press the VOLUME ^ or v button while in on-hook mode. And/or 1 Selecting a Ringer Tone You may select the ringer tone for each line independently. You may choose to turn the ringer off or select one of the four available ringer tones for each line. 1. Press STORE. The red indicator blinks indicating unit is in Store Mode. 2. Use the number pad to select a ringer tone 0 through 4 (selecting 0 turns the ringer off). 3. Press STORE and then press the desired line button. NOTE: The line indicators continue to flash for incoming calls even with the ringer disabled. You may not select the same ringer tone for both lines. Checking the Ringer Settings Check the setting or each ringer (on, off) by pressing STORE, followed by LINE 1 or LINE 2 button when the phone is on the hook.
