Question about Sharp R-963 Convection/Microwave Oven
My 3 year old Sharp R957 Combi Microwave/Covection oven/Grill, stops after exactly 1 min on any setting or mode when using Grill, Oven, or microwave. You just press start for it to restart and then after another minute it stops again. No sign of any burnt out parts or circuits inside; heat coming from whatever mode in use for the minute it runs and microwave works fine and heats stuff for one minute. Any Ideas and is it likely to be expensive?
Thanks in advance.
This 59-second stop failure is due to a problem in one of the damper-related components, most likely the switch, but it may also be the motor or the damper door.
The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode. If the controller thinks that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle.
