Question about Brother PE770 Computerized Sewing Machine

2 Answers

I have a new machine at it was working fine...suddenly it began sewing the design with bobbin thread. Rethreaded, changed bobbin, and changed needle (over and over). Also, change tension. No help. No matter what I do, it sews any letter or design with white bobben thread. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

We just bought this machine and had the same problem. We found that we installed the bobbin in the wrong direction. It is easy to make this mistake. There is a picture on the machine that shows the way to install. hope this was helpful.

The way the thread passes thru the bobbin tension on this machine makes it real easy but sometimes the thread doesnt go where it is supposed to. Try doing it several times, you can feel the thread get tension when it fits in correctly.
Good Luck

If the thread is not picking up the bobbin thread and you have installed a new needle, then your machine is not in time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

My brother pe770 is allowing bobbin thread to show on top sporadically which makes the stitching look like it is speckled with white. I have adjusted tension..cleaned and changed everything.

Shelia,

when sewing these parts of the design, (small stitches? ) load your bobbin with the same top thread. Just match the top thread color, and done! No more white bobbin thread in the topside of your designs.

Needle not catching bobbin thread at all

Did you change the needle? If that doesn't solve the problem then it's probably out of time. Take it in for repair.

Needle won't pick up bobbin thread. Has been working fine all week. I changed the needle, took out the bobbin case, cleaned inside but there were no threads or lint. I rethreaded machine and tried a new...

Most of the time it is because the needle was inserted with the flat side facing you instead of away from you. And for the heck of it, put in a different needle, there may have been a burr or some defect on your new needle. Other than that, it could be your timing.

I was sewing along fine and then all of a sudden my thread started "birdnesting" I have rethreaded the machine as well as the bobbin. It works great on a practice run but as soon as I go back to my project...

Yes, VERY frustrating! When this has happened to me it has always turned out to be a tiny bit of thread caught in the bobbin assembly. I've rethreaded and rethreaded but could only solve the problem by taking the bobbin assembly apart and finding and removing the caught thread. I use a bright flashlight to help find the caught threads.

Good luck and I sure hope this helps!

The bobbin thread is bunching on the under side of the fabric,. Decorative designs are close together, not like the pattern and when I use the more intricate decorative designs, they just sit in a quarter...

Make sure that you use the F foot when using decorative stitches.

The stitch balance my be off. Remove the accessory bin and you will see a large plastic screw with a + and a - and an arrow. Using a coin, turn the arrow to the center and test. Turn the arrow towards the + to stretch the pattern out.

If this doesn't work, it must me calibrated internally and requires an experience hand.

Machine will not pick up the bobbin thread.

if your machine's needle threads from front to back, make sure that the flat part of the needle shank points to the rear of the machine. If it threads from left to right, the flat side should face right, etc.

Won't catch bobbin thread

In order to see whether or not my euro-pro 9110 had a timing issue, the service rep had me change out the needle (making sure I was using anything but a Singer brand needle--they do not work in these machines). I re-threaded the needle, took out the bobbin casing and the plastic ring encasing the bobbin, then lowered the needle to see if the hook on the metal ring holding the bobbin actually catches the thread on its own. If it doesn't catch, it's a timing issue and needs repair. They can walk you through this process of troubleshooting and set up repair if need. Thread caught up around bobbin!

To address my needle thread tangling (horribly) in the bobbin compartment, I rethreaded the bobbin. I cleaned the bobbin and the feeder feet, I changed the bobbin and the thread. I changed the tension on the needle thread and the bobbin thread. NO FIX! Then, I changed the needle - the problem was fixed instantly. I sewed awhile and then put the original needle back in. No problem. I think perhaps that the problem is being caused by the needle getting out of alignment somehow during sewing. If you are having the same issue, try it. It can't hurt!
