It this a electric type if so check for the failure of the connection to the heating coil cartridges or the coil by itself. Check power from the switch to the coil.

Dryer turns on but does not tumble, sensing light is on. The last of laundry was incredibly hot. If it's the thermal fuse, wouldn't the dryer still tumble, though?

Not Tumbling means that the belt has slipped or broken, the over heating could indicate that the motor is burned out and the fan that moves the air is not working.

Tumble dryer not getting hot

Likely to be a thermostat or heater element problem.
These are located at the rear of the dryer, behind a removeable cover, but you will need a test meter to check them out.
Hope this helps.

Dryer tumbles but no heat

I believe this unit has a hot-surface ignitor, and they work great, but do go bad eventually. The easy way to tell is to visibly see if the ignitor is operating during startup... can you get to it?
The hot-surface ignitor is easy to replace- (be careful not to touch it with fingers - like with halogen bulbs)

GE Dryer Model #DWSR483EB2WW Dryer tumbles,

Does it get hot when you start the dryer, and never gets hot again when its running? The solenoid wire might be opening due to heat, the solenoid is responsible for opening the gas valve, and booster valve. The wire is located in a round plastic sleeve with two electrical contacts sticking out.

Zanussi tumble dryer does not get very hot

Hi, I take it from the description taht you have given your T/dryer is a condenser? If this is the case you could be looking at several problems? 1 it could be the large filter underneath the tumble dryer this could be blocked with fluff causing it not to condense quick enough! 2 it could be the water collection pump? Can you her it running? 3 It could be that half the heater has failed causing it not to get hot enough to dry?
Try these hopefully it should steer you in the right direction!
