Remove external power, if any, remove the battery and leave it out for awhile. Reinsert your battery and try to restart once again and if it beeps, press F8 repeatedly until your prompted to load Safe Mode or not. Choose safe mode and see if all works fine or not. If it does the problem is related to a bios change affecting your unique video adapter. Ask Toshiba for advise.

If this doesn't help choose the below sequence.

Use the flash disk you used to flash the bios and restore the bios with the backup you made before you flashed to begin with. If you didn't make a backup, use a different PC to download the bios version most close to the one you had and flash your laptop with that version. If all is well after that, let Toshiba know what happened even if you are out of warranty. If this doesn't resolve your problem something else went wrong and seek professional service.

Tyr this, turn your computer and just use your keys to select the control panel. 2 go into devices and see if your mouse is installed if the show s that your mouse is on there. Please select the mouse to refresh it. 3 Go back to the start menu shut down the computer for 2min the turn on strike the F12 key I believe and see if your mouse is installed.

Try connecting a regular keboard to your laptop. You should have a port that will accept a mouse or keyboard. If this works then you can access your BIOS or setup page. You may have to go to Toshiba for the latest BIOS update and flash your BIOS. Let me know how you make out.

How will I go to the bios and fix the EC/KBC update diskette problem?

Hold the "Esc"key when you power on the laptop until you get the BIOS setup screen coming up.

But I don't think you can fix the Ec/KEB problem by change any thing in BIOS or you just want find USB drive and make it boot-able from BIOs?
