Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

Open Question

Bellina cxe36 coffee percolator

I found this website when looking for information about the Bellina coffee percolator. I have the instruction book but my problem is the amount of calcification on the inside of the 'boiler'. I am presuming this part of the machine is made of aluminium but this is not explained in the instruction booklet. I am thinking that the product may need to be thrown away and replaced with another product . I would appreciate any suggestions and/or recommendations for a small cuppuccino making machine which will not calcify?

SOURCE: Need a User Manual

I found the manufacture's website and found their contact information and was able to just email and ask them if one was available. The next day I had a return email with the users manual and recipes attached. It took longer than I wanted to find the website but it was all good.
Thank you for your followup.

Concerning Melitta Java Perk percolator.Found a spring inside this percolator that I got from a friend ergo, no manual. Is it part of the assembly? Where does it go then?

Many modern percolators have springs inside the assembly. While some people find that metallic undertones result from brewing with springs in the mix, others appreciate the subtle nuance of metal and enjoy it for the complexity without much effort or cost.

How to brew coffee

USING YOUR PERCOLATOR
1.Wash the Percolator thoroughly before using for the first time.
(See "Cleaning Instructions" section in this manual.)

2.Remove Cover, Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube. Use cold, fresh
tap water to fill Percolator. Fill according to markings on inside
of Percolator for number of cups desired. Use cold tap water -
the automatic brewing cycle is timed to begin with a cold
water start.
NOTE: The bottom of the Pump Tube Spring marks the maximum
capacity of the Percolator.

3.Wet Coffee Basket to help keep small particles of coffee from sift-
ing through. Place Basket on Pump Tube. Add desired amount of
regular or percolator grind coffee to Basket.

4.Place Pump Tube with Basket into Percolator so bottom of tube is
set into Center Well. Place Spreader on top of Basket and snap
Cover onto Percolator. Attach cord to Percolator and plug into
standard household 120 volt AC wall outlet. Brewing begins
within seconds and continues at a cup-a-minute speed

5.When coffee brewing is complete, percolating will stop. The
Percolator automatically switches to "KEEP WARM" setting to
preserve fresh-tasting coffee at hot, ready-to-serve temperature.
For best flavor, remove Coffee Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube
when brewing is completed.

Why won't our poly perk percolator shut off?

I just bought a Poly Perk percolator from a thrift store. If yours is the same, it's a vintage plastic, electric percolator. I found your question while searching for directions for mine. My percolator does'nt shut off either. It just continues running. I don't know if it has a shut off, but I figure I'll just unplug mine for now since it made really good coffee. If it's supposed to shut off, I suspect we're both stuck with few options. I hope you find your solution though.

Basic instructions on use of Russell Hobbs Type CP1 coffee perco

We too have a CP1, we need to find parts for a full restoration, after 50 years of service (it too was a wedding present to my parents in 1967) mum left it on, it boiled dry. I've messaged Russell Hobbs, but in case they can't help, anyone know a vintage parts source?

Farberware 4 and 12 cup percolators stopped making good coffee

I thoroughly cleaned my 4-cup percolator by brewing a couple of pots of plain white vinegar and scrubbing the build-up from the bottom of the pot (and running a couple of plain water brews through the pot after all the cleaning). The percolator now brews hot, strong coffee again!
