im so sorry i forgot
i got a 2210-02 motorola modem
my isp is att/bellsouth
i dont think my account has been activated because i havnt gotten past the part on my installation cd where it says the lights on my mode have to match the model
im pretty sure my cables and phone jack are working perfectly
ps its sad that im in college for computer networking and i gotta ask for help *sigh*

Hello!

don't worry, we will figure it out.. i'm pretty sure that you surely did the right thing. its probably the modem itself that is not cooperating here. if you dont see any dsl light on the modem that is because the modem is not yet setup.

nwy, since you already try setting it up using the installation cd, let's try to do check it manually instead

check your cable connection:
step 1: Power supply connected
Step 2: Phone cable to the DSL port of the modem to the DSL outlet
Step 3: Ethernet cable from the ethernet port of the modem to your pc

device configuration:
Step 1:open browser and type 192.168.1.254
Step 2: create your own password
Step 3: username admin and the password you created
Step 4: type your ISP user ID and password
Step 5: it should give your the confirmation that you are now connected
