Why does HP Deskjet 940c only print left side of a selection from a web page?

A printer prints almost anything that is shown in a computer screen and it depend on what you're trying to print. If you want to print contents from a webpage, you have two options to chose from. The first is of course the contents in the webpage that you want printed and the second option is to print the whole webpage. If you want to print only the contents in a web page, e.g. an article or photo, you have to highlight the article or photo first then right-click and select 'Print...'. It should print the article or photo only. But if you want to print the whole webpage, chances are that it only prints the 'skeleton' of the webpage and not the contents, hence the reason you have only the left part of the webpage printed. However, if you highlight the whole webpage and then right-click and select 'Print...' I am sure you will have the whole webpage printed. Cheers.

Print is encrypted, nothing is readable.

If you are printing it from online, try copy and pasting the content to Word or Excel and print from there.

To make internet printing more easy you can download the Lexmark toolbar. That will help you print the webpages exactly as you need it to be printed.
Here is a link on where to download it.
Now if your problem is that you can not print from any other program as well then you might have some communication problems. Take a look at the following article it will help you check any settings that may be causing the not printing issue.

I cant print word documents. It says printer is

I have encountered this problem, wherein I can print webpages, excel, pdf files, but not in Microsoft Word.

I received error "Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup".

I got it resolved by following the instructions given by Microsoft:

Specifically the steps under 'Delete the Word Data key'.

My printer prints only small fonts.

That is the presentation that you get from a webpage. Webpages are using a different program and it will shrnk or expand the substance of the website you download. Have you tried using the "print screen" function in your computer?

Printer quit!

You need to try to flush the print heads once or twice, then test print again.
  1. Go to Start > Control Panel, and go to Printers (or similar)
  2. Find your printer in there, right-click it and choose Properties
  3. You may now have to look for Printer Preferences or similar and go to it
  4. You'll now have to look for some sort of Lexmark control panel where it will have options to do a head clean. Do that. Sorry you'll have to look for it because it varies across systems.
If that doesn't help, go to Start > Programs, and look for Lexmark and see if there's some sort of control panel or diagnostics program in there.
Hope this helps!

Lexmark won't print

good day,

have you tried highlighting the entire content of the Yahoo! page before you select print? this may be an issue between the internet browser that you are using and your printer.

Not printing complete selected data

What is the source of the text you are trying to print? If tis off of a webpage it may be a larger format than the paper so what you can try doing is going under the printing preffrences and under sizing look for an option to "Fit to Page" If that doesnt work you can try printing to PDF with a program like CutePDF Writer 2.7 and then print that file. Also try changing the margins for the page or the zoom level. One of these should work

Problems printing on c250 from mac leopard

Have you tried hiding the Doc in the finder?

Some programs will print VERY slowly s the application icon is showing while printing.

Are you using a Fiery? If so, have you installed the CUPS filter from their website?

The lates Mac OS has totally redone the way they communicate with printers and how they handle security communications.
Start looking in the Mac webpage for fixes or solutions, it is a system based issue from Mac.
