Comes up with press dot screen nothing I do seems

Have you tried a screen calibration? Turn off the unit then press and hold the upper left of the screen as you turn it on. A dot will show up on screen and then press the dot firmly as it moves around the screen. When it is done it will say screen calibration complete.
I also assume you tried a reset by pressing the reset button or on the newer units just hold the power button while turning it on for about 15 seconds until it reboots.
Thanks for using FixYa

Whydo i have pink dots on my screen

Hi gailandst632,

I saw you post stating that you have pink spots/dots on your Screen.

to determine what the problem is we weill need to turn your computer off and boot into the BIOS screen.

1. Turn your Computer Off, then as soon as you power the machine On keep on tapping F1 on the keyboard to get the BIOS screen it will be a Blue screen with white fonts on it, in that screen see if the pinks dots are present or not.

2. If the pink dots are present in BIO then that means that the LCD screen of your Laptop needs to be replaced.

3. You will need to call your manufacturer regarding this concern check if your system is still in warranty, because this will be very expensive if you are out of warranty.

4. All manufacturers will cover a pixelated LCD screen if the dots or pixelated area has at-least 5 or more dots/pixelated areas on the LCD screen.

I hope that his will help you with the concern that you have posted.

Have a nice day.

Hi I have a Pentax P70, however there is an intermitent fault where the saved images are corrupted, and turn pink/purple. Any ideas what may cause this?

Try this...go into the camera menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. Download any pics you want to save from the card. Go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

PINK/GREEN SHADOWS, LINES

Here is what I was able to find out about your problem from sony: This issue is usually caused by some type of nearby magnetic interference, such as unshielded stereo speakers placed too close to the TV. These spots can be small or large and will normally be red, green or blue, but sometimes appear purple or pink. They normally occur on the sides or corners of the screen, but can also appear in the middle. To resolve this issue, move any stereo speakers or other electronic devices away from the TV; a minimum of 2-3 feet is recommended. If the situation is not remedied immediately, unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet for 20-30 minutes; repeat this process one more time if the issue is not resolved the first time. If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required. The Sony® eService Web site at http://eservice.sony.com/ can assist you in obtaining service from a Sony Service Center or locating a Sony Authorized Servicer in your area. Hope this is helpful:)
