Question about Cameras
Hi, whenever we get a Memory Card Error, usually that is the actual SD card itself, it may actually be faulty, or simply need re-formatting.
The way to find out, is to obtain a USB to SD card dongle adapter, now insert the SD card into said adapter and see if it can be read, if so, copy/paste all files to a safe location on your HDD, then select the drive, right click, and choose Format, Format FAT32. then when finished return it back to the camera, and see if it is picked up, if it is, and it all seems OK, then, remove it once again, go back to the PC and copy back that info you saved before, (If you want) Now once again return to the camera and all should be well. If it doesn't work after this, you have little option but to reformat again, and see if it will work formatted but blank, then, write some data from the phone to it and see if that's OK, as maybe it is the camera that's at fault, unlikely but this will prove it one way or the other. If it doesn't read/write and work, first try another new SD card, before coming to the conclusion the camera is at fault. If it is, then you have no option but to send it in for repair.
