Question about iiyama ProLite E380S-S 15" LCD Monitor

Out Of Range

I have just paired my year old Mesh matrix computer with an IIyama E380S 15" LCD screen. I get a black screen with a message saying "Out of range H:63.9KHz V: 60Hz Please change signal settings". I believe this to be the resolution settings and in order to get to the control panel I have to start it up in "safe" mode. However in this mode the display settings are not available, can anyone give me advice on what I should do?
Both devices were working fine with their former partners

    Dear Shapirit,

Thankyou for your suggestion. The only way that I know to start in safe mode is by tapping F5 During startup but this does not offer me the option to start inVGA mode.

The system is windows Vista Home premium, any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?.

    My kind regards-tricotafia

Do the same procedure you do to enter "safe mode" but this time choose the "start in VGA mode" option, then change windows resolution.

I locked my computer but i forgot my password. how can i unlock it?

Hello there,

The only way you can do this is to reinstall windows over your current installation, but not deleting your partition or formatting your drive. If you are not experienced doing this, I would suggest you take it to a Computer engineer.

After Windows has started and the setup screens show, my Kogi monitor says "out of range" and the screen goes black. How can I fix this?

Set the resolution lower.

It is telling you that the resolution you want is beyond its normal operating range.

just drop it to lets say 800 x 600
Then bump it up one resolution at a time until you get the message again, then drop it back one.

Running monitors above the acceptable range can drastically shorten their lifespan.

monitor is out of range you need to reconnect the old monitor and manually reduce the display resolution to say 1024x768 and see if you can start then you may also have to change the refresh rate to 60 hz in the display section of the advanced tab, hope this helps

Speakers - no volume

double check that the speaker wire (green) is connected in the back of the monitor and into the back of your pc into the green connection, if it is and there is no sound you can always use a seperate pair of speakers, as it will be cheaper than repairing the monitor.
