Mits. rear projection tv ws65905 picture has blue color tint

Your blue picture tube is failing. Invest in a new TV. "If" you can find a new set of tubes(you have to replace all 3 red blue and green) they are around $800-1000. Not cost effective. Run the TV into the ground if you want to wait but do not invest any repair money in my opinion.

Tv powers on, has sound but no picture. All three lights are working & will show the input display but distorted. I would like to do the repair myself but am not sure if this is a convergence issue or...

Even if a convergence problem exists you should still have a picture, a bad one but a picture----call the menu up with the Mitsubishi remote and select convergence and then advanced---a grid of lines will appear in green---got dramatic red and blue showing and you have a convergence issue.

Do that first----presuming no hookup is ok (try a dvd player) the set does have the OPTION menu(can tell you how to get there) that is based on a 4 digit number code--may have that for this model or not).

It will not correct any convergence problems but will do a hard reset of the set back to factory original.

Let me know what you find---it sounds like 2 problems exist.

I have a mitsubishi diamond model#ws-65905. I have recently replaced the convergence ic's and now I get no adjustment at all for convergence (the picture looked better before the new ic's were put on. Now,...

This model should use the STK-392-040 CHIPS.

The real question here is how did you get at or gain access to replace the chips?

I will make some assumptions: you did a good job soldering the new ones in, you did not use an electric screw gun to replace the screws that hold the board into the frame; if you removed the center board to get at them I need to advise you here of some common pitfalls that happen.

The more you can tell me the better I will be able to assist you.

No picture on my set. (Mitsubishi ws-65905)

I have the same problem. I had someone come out and take a look at it they told me it was a DM module or signal board. Unfortunately Mitsubishi does not make the part anymore!! I'm very upset. I'm not saying this is your problem, but look at it as a possibility...
