Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Goodman gmnt060 3b doesn't light

check for 24vac between wires on gas valve about 5-10 seconds after ignitor starts to glow. If ignitor does not glow, check for 120 vac to ignitor after inducer goes on.
First...sequence of operation..power to W, inducer motor gets 120v and starts, 10-15 seconds later, ignitor gets 120v and glows, 5-10 seconds, gas valve gets 24v and opens, after 3-4 seconds the flame sensor approves flame and unit stays on. If this is not happening, it has to be in this sequence. Which ever is not happening and you do have voltage to that component, that component is bad. If you are getting a error code on board after it tries to light, pay attention to the code. if a 1 lock out code, that just means it tried 3 times and did not recognize a flame.

Oven glow plug not turning on to bake

Find the bake ignitor (you may need to remove bottom drawer or oven cavity floor to get to the ignitor). Turn on the bake. If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor. If the ignitor does not come on - check the voltage on the ignitor, should be the line voltage 110-120v AC. If there is a line voltage on the ignitor and it's not coming on - replace.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

if you dont see the glow of the ignitor it is probably bad . you can check with a meter that has an ohms scale, unplug and test ignitor side OL would be a bad ignitor 45-110ohms ok.

Sears kenmore gas dryer 417.92052101does not stay lit.

Watch the burner assembly, shortly after starting the dryer the ignitor should begin to glow. If it glows for several seconds (up to 15 seconds) and then goes out, then the problem is probably the solenoids (coils). If the ignitor glows and stays on, then the problem is usually the flame sensor.

Maytag Gas Range.. Oven comes on then goes out in 20 seconds

Sures sounds like the ignitor is causing all the problem. Simply becasue the ignitor is lighting does not mean it is good. Your unit incorporates a flat style ignitor and it must draw 3.2 - 3.6 amps in order to fully open the oven safety valve. There are only two ways to verify this. The first and more professional way is to measure the amperage draw of the ignitor after it has been glowing for approximately 45 seconds. I feel certain you will fnd the draw 3.2 amps or lower. The second would be to make an intelligent guess and order part number 74007498 which is an ignitor for your oven. If we can help further feel free to respond.

Oven does not light, model #LCRG760A serial#201993Fk top burners light ok.

Open the range door, remove racks so that you can have enough room for your troubleshooting or observation.
Remove the two nuts of the oven cover.
Turn ON your oven knobs observe the ignitor for about 14 seconds if glow at all.
If the ignitor glow weak "orange" it shows that the ignitor need to be replace bcos it doesnt draw enough current to light up the gas.If it does not glow at all. visualized the ignitor if shorted "whites fume" on the surface or broken. If not, remove the power plug from wall socket, check the leads of the ignitor connectors, set your meter to resistance(ohmic value). if no reading or beeping sound - that indicate bad ignitor . part # for your model is PS50459.
If does not glow at all, check the safety valve perhaps one or two pins burnt with the wire harness. You may also check connectors leads that goes to your ignitor.
Good luck.
