Speed queen 30eg wont start. I have power through the switches all the way to the motor. I can hook the motor up direct and it runs fine, but i cant get it to start with the push button start

If you can jumper across the start switch you can eliminate the start switch as the problem. The switch acts as an open in the start control wiring. If the unit starts when you jumper across the switch, then replace the switch. If you are uncomfortable in jumpering out the switch you can unplug the dryer "disconnect power" just unplug the dryer then use a multimeter to read across the switch. Place the meter on continuity mode for an audible beep. If the meter doesn't beep when you press the switch to close the contacts, then replace the switch. Hope this helps!

The start switch start the dryer but shuts itself when we release the button

Several different components could be preventing your dryer from continuing to run when the start button is released. The wiring diagram and other technical information for your dryer are shown in the image below. When the start (PTS or Push To Start) button is pushed, the PTS contact is closed and voltage is supplied to the drive motor. Start voltage is also sensed through the blue/black wire that is connected to the P1-5 Start Sense pin on the control board. When the control board senses the start voltage, it normally applies 48 volts DC voltage through the Pink/Black wire to the motor relay to hold the contact closed between the two blue wires attached to the motor relay that supplies normal run voltage to the drive motor. With the start button taped down, the motor continues to run since it gets voltage through the closed start button. Since the motor stops running when the start button is released, it indicates that you have one of these 3 failures:
Broken or disconnected Start Sense wire.

Failed electronic control board that is not sending the 48 volts DC voltage through the motor relay Failed motor relay. Wiring failure between the components.
Since the motor relay and the heater relay are both exactly the same part, you could unplug the dryer and switch the motor and heater relay to see if the dryer will stay running. If it does, then you just need to order and replace the bad relay.

Kenmore elec dryer #417.88042700 will not start all timed lights come an stay on put dryer will not start

Hello! From the symptom you describe, a few things need to be checked. Have you had a power outage within the last 3-4 weeks? They are NOTORIOUS for damaging circuit boards in washers, dryers, dishwashers, and microwave ovens. First, check the start button--this dryer uses a button/spring assembly that presses a button on the main control panel. It can break causing the button to be pushed in but not actually press the button on the control board(diagram# 11, pic 7). Second, make sure the door switch (diagram#26, pic 4) is working by opening the dryer door and pushing the button in. The light should turn off. Then, holding the button in, push the start button and see if the dryer runs. Third, grasp the dryer drum inside by holding onto one of the paddles that push the clothes around. Slowly push/spin the drum back and forth. You should feel some resistance from the dryer belt spinning the blower fan and motor. If the drum feels "loose" and moves very freely, the belt might have broken or slipped off the idler pulley(spring-tensioned pulley that keeps the belt tight on the drum). There is a safety switch mounted on the motor that opens should the belt break or come off. The dryer will act normally but will not start at all because the blower won't be able to push cooling air through the unit. The following must be done with the **power removed** At this point, if you are hesitant about performing any of the following troubleshooting steps, CALL FOR SERVICE! You will need a voltage/ohm meter and have to open up the top cover of the dryer to access the safety thermostat mounted at the top of the heater assembly at the rear of the dryer(diagram#33, pic 6). Disconnect one of the wires and check across the thermostat(temperature activated safety fuse) with the meter set to ohms or continuity. If the thermostat is good, you will read almost zero ohms of resistance or the meter will beep on continuity telling you that the fuse is still intact. You can also absolutely verify that the dryer belt is indeed still tightly pulled around the drum and not broken. To access the control thermistor which is mounted on the blower housing at the bottom front of the dryer, the entire front panel must be removed(Or, you can check the wires at the main control board--blue and blue/white stripe.) To check this sensor, remove one of the wires and having the meter set to ohms, verify that the resistance is correct(see schematic diagram, pic 1) for specifications of this sensor. There is a blue wire and a blue wire with a white stripe attached to it. If all the preceding checks are ok, the problem is most likely a defective main control board. NOTE: YouTube has a lot of great videos showing disassembly techniques. Use the model number for your dryer as a reference and check for vids there. I hope I helped you!

Admiral dryer wont come on

That is a bad sign. If the buzzing starts when you press the start button and stops when you release its almost safe to say that the motor has a dead short or grounded out and causing that to happen. You can check the start switch by getting a multimeter and with the dryer unplugged take the wires off the switch, place a lead on each pin and press the start with meter set for continuity. If it shows continuity when presed and stops when released your motor is shot and needs to be replaced

If you can turn the drum and then the dryer starts you have a bad motor. The way the dryer works is when you initially push the start button, electricity is sent to the start winding, or stator, of the motor. This will in turn start the motor turning. From there the stator will drop out of the electrical process and at the same time the run winding, or rotor, will take over and the motor will continie to run. Your stator is damaged, has a burn spot, etc so by you turning the drum, the belt around the drum is moved which is attached to the motor pulley. You basically take the place of the stator. Long story short, you have a bad motor.

Now if you press the start button and the machine starts to hum and continues to hum its possible that something has gotten caught in the blower wheel and binding the motor up. Depending on the make and model the location and access to it vaaries.

How do u wire a three phase squirrel cage motor with a motor starter with a remote start/stop/inch station and warning indicator light ?

You would first run a conductor fromL1 to L1 on the motor start then run a second conductor from L2 to L2 on the moter starter, then run a third conductor from L3 to L3 on the moter starter. next run L1 and L2 to a step down transformer so you can reduce your working voltage to 120vac, then run a conductor on one of the outputs from the step down transformer to one side of the normally closed contacts on the STOP push button, from the other side of the stop button run a wire to one side of the start button, on the other side of the start push button run a wire to one side of the magnetic motor starter coil, the other side of the coil run a wire to the other empty terminal on the transformer, this will be the neutral wire. next you need to run a wire from the normally open contactor on the magnetic moter starter to one side of your push button start switch, then run one wire from the other side of the start push button switch to the other side of the normally open contacts on the magnetic moter starter, this is your start switch latch that will keep the motor running when the start push button is released.I'm not sure how you need the warning indicator light wired up, so please reply and let me know when it needs to come on and go off

Whirlpool LER5644A No heat and motor wont Turn

Replace the dryer wires.
Put your meter leads into the 4&5 slots.
Make sure the door switch is closed or jumpered.
Push the start button.
If you read no voltage the issue is with the wiring, the timer, or a relay.

Dryer won't start when pushing the button it clicks

Could be a broken belt if you hear motor, also can be defective door switch. you can try pushing door switch with finger and press button If motor does not make a sound and pressing door switch does nothing you will need a volt meter and test for power if you hear moter then its broken belt or jambed drum. Try and manually move drum

DRYER STOPS AFTER RELEASE START BUTTON

If you motor started with the button, the relay is working as are the start windings on the motor.. Likely the run winding of the motor are open .Test the ruun windings wth an ohm meter. If no movement of meter on the windings, replace motor.
