SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: how do i disassemble a sinkmaster 850 disposal

well if it is a typical diposal under the sink up close to strainer there is some type of locking device which either unscrews or needs to be tapped to left to unscrew be careful cause it could end up in your hands real quick you also have to undo electric and connection to trap under sink

SOURCE: The blades on my Sinkmaster 550 garbage disposer

that is a project I wouldn't reccomend. besides the "blades" are not really changable. The blades are a piece of metal cut at an angle and when they spin they grind the food by rubbing against a series of holes in the base.
if the disposal is not grinding the food, then its time to replace the disposal.

There is no clear parts sheet that shows Sinkmaster/GE disposal parts numbers. The product does not have installation manual posted online.
Call Sinkmaster 800-854-3229 to check on parts and ask about 10 year warranty.

Where can I get a replacement for splash guard

Splash guards are sold by brand name, but many brands simply repackage more famillar brands such as sinkmaster or insinkerator:

Leaking sinkmaster 850 garbage disposal

I have had these apart. The leak is from a seal around the motor shaft. By the time it is leaking the shaft has pitted to the point a new seal will not repair it. Getting it apart can result in damaged parts as it is sealed together with very tight tolerances and a glue like sealer.
