Logiteckquickcam i have a logitech quick cam the cheap 1 costing 35 dollars. i'm looking 4 the download to run it can you help me. i am running windows xp.

In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to run the support software - Microsoft DirectX . This comes pre-loaded on most Windows computers but has to be updated - I am currently on version 11
To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK.

Procedure to re-install Logitech software
Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software
Disconnect your webcam
Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer
Restart computer
Download the Installation package from Logitech
Run the installer and choose your options during the installation - You may not want Logitech Chat but the Desktop icon for the webcam toolbar is a must.
Connect your webcam when prompted.

Check you have no 'Fun Filters' selected - its the only place I have seen 4 split images on my Logi webcam
It will be within the 'Video Effects' menu ( 2 theatre masks )
Start your cam in 'Quick Capture' first ( 2 film frames with 1 head and shoulder pic )

Failing that I suggest you re-install from the website

Select Windows 7 and 32 bits and download the software. Your problem will be solved.

Check your version of DirectX - this is required to run your Logitech - update if necessary

Install Logitech software

1) Disconnect webcam
2) Uninstall current webcam software
3) Restart computer
4) Visit the Logitech website

5) Scan the photo gallery and click on the photo to go to the support page for that model - note. Older webcams are on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom of page 1 on the right hand side - "Still can't find your product?"
6) Download the installer to your computer
7) Run the Install wizard - pay attention to the text - you may wish to opt of the Logitech Chat program but I recommend you install the shortcut on your desktop.
8) Connect your webcam when prompted

You can download the software from the web cam's official website and it's free. Just follow this steps:

1. First you need to get into the web cam's official website.
2. Browse to the product sections and then select your device type which is web cams.
3. Look for your device model and then select it.

Now it will shop a page about your web cam and also the download support for it.

4. Click the driver downloads and then select the kind of driver according to your operating system you currently used.
