How to remove code set 3 for the remote control panasonic bd-45

It seems the best way to "remove code set" is to overwrite it with a different code set.

(From the Owner's manual for the Panasonic DMP-BD45)
STEP 6 :
Reprogramming the remote control
Change "Remote Control Code" (-> 28) on the main unit and
the remote control (the two must match) if you place other
Panasonic products close together and it responds to this
remote control.
You can operate the TV or amplifier/receiver using the unit's
remote control.
1 For televisions
Input the code (-> 37) with the numbered
buttons while pressing [? TV POWER].
For amplifiers/receivers
Input the code (->37) with the numbered
buttons while pressing
[RECEIVER j VOL].
e.g., 0001: [0] -> [0] ->[0] -> [1]
2 Test by turning on the television or
adjusting the volume of the amplifier/
receiver.

How can a reprogramed a Panasonic tv,

I hope you got one of the HOTEL remotes as a regular Panasonic remote will not do much if anything.

It was used as a monitor (no tuner) so you need to change the input to tuner--probable locked out since they did not want customers to tamper with the settings.

We have different colored lights all over our screen - we replaced the bulb about 4 months ago

Call panasonic on this. Their warranty has been extending for just this problem.

This problem is caused by currupt eeprom data on the LCD drive board

If they don't do anything about it, do a search for part number # LSUQ0100.

That is the tool we use to reprogram the eeprom.

Color spots on screen panasonic pt-61cx65

Howdy,
The problem is with the EEPROM in the TV that needs to be reprogrammed. But you need to have the proper Correction Tool (LSUQ0100).
I don't think it's available to the public. Call a Service Company, but make sure they have the “Correction Tool”.

Thanks for using FIXYA, big IRISH.

I had the same problem and unfortunately you will need to replace the tv remote. It costs 24.26 on the panasonic website which is panasonic.com under the parts and accesories section. By the way I know how much it costs because I took the liberty of looking it up for you. Hope the info helps GOD Bless You.
