I just got a multimedia surround system with subwoofer.Spa7650/05, 180w.The subwoofer has three audio connections, front, centre and rear,My tv only has an audio coaxial.I can't connect it.What adapter...

Hello,
Firs of all lets get agree on something..The subwoofer has three audio connections for "output " to :front, centre and rear speakers...these are not for "input"..Your powered SUB provides necessary signal for other spekers..
You can connect TV audio coaxial to SUB input with a RCA cable.....if your SUB does not have "RCA input " probably it should have "3,5mm Haedphone female Jack"..
if this is the case you need to buy a cable ; one end 3,5mm MALE headphone jack and the other end 2xRCA stereo (or 1x RCA for mono or you may need "Y cable " ) to be connected to your TV...
And you need to connect front, centre and rear speakers to your SUB as well...
Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up

Hope this helps!

Im not sure which plugs I should plug my RCA cables that come from my amp to the reciever. I dont know if its the "back RCA output" or the "Front RCA output" or the "subwoofer...

First of all get yourself a Y-LINK cable. (single male RCA on one side/ double female RCA on the other side) Connect the Y-LINK to your head unit sub woofer output with the stereo RCA that leads to the sub woofer amplifier. Now you are connected to the correct output. I do not know what head unit you had connected before to base your comparison, however there is a output voltage difference from one head unit to another, (1.2V, 2V, 2.5V, 4V, 5V) and that is what determines where the gain on the amplifier should be set to. Always match the headunit output voltage with the amplifier gain control to be the same. It is not uncommon for some entry level units to have a single sub woofer output. dreamsystems

I have a kenwood kdc 139 and there is no bass at all, the bass only kicks in when i change the balance to fully left or fully right.

Check your wires to make sure they're not crossed. follow them all the way back to the radio if you have to. when it comes to subs, you have to get it right with how you connect your possitive and negative especially coming out of the amp. if you have rca's connected from the radio to the amp, then check the output to your subs from the amp to the subs, make sure theyre wired correctly. if you used your stereo wires for input to your amp, then make sure those wires are positive with positive and negative with negative. also make sure you have them hooked up to rear output only. don't use one rear and one front.

Connecting a car stereo to an amplifier

you have to connect your 4 speakers to 4 speakers output direct to your car stereo no need of amplifier to 4 speaker but speakers should be small not like a woofer, and you have to connect your sub woofer by using amplifier don't connect direct. connect the output of your car stereo (using 2 RCA) to the 2 RCA inputs of amplifier. If u connect your 4 speakers to your amplifier then your car stereo does not support Left Right channel.
You can also connect your laptop or iPod direct to your amplifier.
Good Luck
enjoy music

Do not have a sub output on receiver /do not know which wire to plug into the amp sub input/5 channel amp /have rca output for front and rear speakers

Hello southernbike,

With a 5-channel amp (stereo L/R front, stereo L/R rear, and subwoofer) you only need the two pair of stereo inputs.

You do not say which brand and model of amp you have, but most have an output configuration similar to the Alpine shown in this link. Connect the front and rear RCA's from your receiver, your vehicle speakers to the respective output terminals, and your subwoofer to the 5th channel terminals.

Hope this helps.

Subwoofer istalation into a clarion DXZ375MP stereo

The DXZ375 has two sets of RCA outputs (1 red plug, 1 white plug) located on the back of the unit. The set with the white main wire is for a front amplifier, and the one with the black main wire is the rear. You want the black one.

I'm assuming you also have an amplifier for your subs and the necessary wiring. You will need to run a 12v+ from the battery to the amplifier, splice a power-on signal wire from the ACC Power wire on the stereo's wiring harness (red wire) as well as connect the amp to the stereo via the RCA outputs.

How to hook up my rem amp wire to this player it does not have

If by saying amp outputs you are refering to the RCA jacks on back of the head unit (Left and Right RCA jacks usually labeled FRONT, REAR, SUB, etc...) then you do have options even if your head unit doesn't provide a SUB channel.  These RCA jacks/amp outputs carry the signal (music or whatever) at a lower voltage (and is typically more like DC voltage as there is a ground reference which is 0 volts and signal rides on the positive voltage), providing a cleaner signal to the amp which does all the work.  The wires behind the amp that you connect directly to the speakers is typically amplified by the head unit itself and is a much higher voltage level and varies from negative to positive ( AC voltage.).

You could use the other channels (FRONT or REAR) if available, (a specific SUB amp output cuts all the higher frequencies out, passing just the lower subwofer frequencies inside the head unit).

if you want to strive for a more efficient use of your sub, use a low-pass/SUBwoffer filter (a crossover) in between the Head unit and amp, thus providing the amp with subwoffer signal, (or if for some odd reason you have SPEAKER level sub connections you can use a line output converter which will let you run RCA to the amp.)

Hope this helps u understand why I couldn't just say get a new stereo nor could I just say use splitters on available amp outs.

My philips dvd player 5.1 have female ports at back side for audio but i have the sound system of LG which has simple naked wire to connect .

Philips DVP 3256 has 6 outputs which takes in RCA connectors
Altec lansing VS3251 has 3 STEREO outputs.
Buy 3 nos of STEREO (female) to RCA (male) cables
1. Connect the Altec's green wire to first stereo-to-RCA cable. RCA ends to DVP 3256's Front left and Front right
2. Connect the Altec's black wire to second stereo-to-RCA cable. RCA ends to DVP 3256's Rear left and Rear right
3. Connect the Altec's orange wire to third stereo-to-RCA cable. RCA ends to DVP 3256's Centre/Sub woofer. Interchange RCA ends if the Subwoofer sounds dull.

Good Luck

Either buy the adapter from Kenwood and follow the instructions with that. Or go buy a headphone jack to RCA Audio cable and connect the RCA to the AUX RCAs on the back of your deck.
