    Hi serra_baby

    My MP3 is a Samsung YP-U3JQB/X8A.

It worked well on my Windows XP Home but now doesn't work on the new Windows Vista Home Basic.

My WMP 11 on Vista will not recognise my philips

Could be driver problem. You can try reinstalling the driver for the device. If it's a vista system, you might want to run the executable file in administrator mode, or even change the compatibility to XP.

Uninstall the current installation of the device software.
  • Insert CD in CD-ROM
  • Right click on the setup file
  • Choose properties / Compatibility Tab
  • Set it to XP
  • and tick the box at the bottom run as administrator.
I hope that help.

Cannot be recognised on my USB ports

The CD supplied does not have drivers on it. This is a flash player so your PC should recognise it automaticaly.

If this is not happening, please try installing an MTP Porting Kit via the microsoft.com website.

Cant get the stupid thing to be redognised by vista usb drivers for the mp3 not installed or regnoised

Hi There,               Vista should reconize  it as a usb divice and look into the storage space. Just try to use vista in the control panel and goto add new hardware if ask for driver just but in the software mini cd it came with. I have no problem with mine. If it does not work then you might have a faulty product or you should ask a vista tech how to identify a a usb divice mp4 player to windows. I know the pmp 8308 Missil is compatible with Microsoft Window Vista. It should just be plug and play and identify as a usb device so you can drag and load your videos or mp3s or pictures or even text into your ebook on the device. I hope I helped a bit. Good Luck

Zen MP3 player not recognised by my Laptop

Try different USB ports......some devices need faster USB ports......

But first, install the installation CD it came with. (if you haven't)

If you have already, go to My computer and look for a Picture of the Zen. Then Click on it and it will take you to the screen you SHOULD get when you plug it in.

-OR-
Go to start. Click Run. Type in either E;/ or F:/. this is the manual way of accessing it. E; and F; are common external Drive names. Hope this helped

Have a digital camera/mp3 player 44090/44091/44092/44093 have installed software but when we plug it in to usb slot doesnt register on comp. cannot transfer music etc. running windows vista please help...

I have fixed our problem! Hope this helps you out. I downloaded a manual for the 44090 model.
Make sure that you don't have it plugged into the usb port and the player is switched to mp3 mode. Open the software and then when it says to plug it in now, you need to turn the player into music mode. Press and hold for 3 to 4 seconds the centre power/play/pause button. It will start the red light flashing. Once the light is flashing it is in music mode. Plug in to the usb port and the computer should recognise it bringing up the install now button for the software. Click 'install now' and it should work.
I don't use the software to load songs I just use windows media player and once I had passed this install now bit media player recognised it instantly.
Everytime you want to listen to music you need to put the player into music mode by holding down that button till the red light flashes. Once music is loaded on it starts playing as soon as that red light starts flashing!
Good luck and I really hope this works out for you too.

The hold/lock is probably engaged - unlock it; or you are running Vista

go to manufacturer's website and get the Vista-compatible software/firmware if you are running Vista
