My aerial icon on the phone is flashing Called Panasonic helpline they took me through the registration process But to no avail I know that the reset base has to be done But they would not cooperate I cannot go into the Setting BS menu Here I can reset base and then the phone unit will be back to registration right now i tried all registration possibilities but to no avail I wanted to do the #7000 factory reset at base ubit but cannot Can anyone help me to set the phone and base to factory settings I have already done all resets offered in the manual so new suggestions please. If your aerial icon is flashig you can't access to base options, all base options are saved in base EEPROM, you need to follow the registration process, but if registration process is not satisfactory, the problem could be that your RF handset unit is broken and you will need technical asistance, a lot of times only resoldering RF unit the problem is solved, if you have more handset in the same base you can cancel all registrations and to start again, but unfortunatly I think that you have a RF problem (maybe the handset fell to floor and now you have a bad or broken soldiering)

I have similar model and setup should be the same..
1, Handset: press Menu
2, Handset: scroll using up/down arrow keys to "Initial setting" then press soft key Select
3, Handset: scroll to "Registration" press soft key Select
4, Handset: sroll to " HS Registration" press soft key Select
5, Base Unit: Press and hold (LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER) for 3 seconds. The Charge indicator flashes. After the CHARGE indicator starts flashing, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute.
6, Handset: 1: press soft key OK
2: wait untill a long beep sounds and the display shows the new extention number
**Registration should be complete**
If “No link to base. Move closer to base, try again.” is displayed
even when using the handset near the base unit, the handset may have lost communication with the base unit. You need to re-register the handset to the base unit.
• Make sure the base unit is not being used.
• Have both handsets and base unit nearby during registration.
• Follow steps 1–3 listed below. You have about 1 minute to complete them.
• Confirm the extension number of the handset which has lost the communication by placing the handset on the base unit or charger.
If you re-register the handset using the other handset’s extension number, the other handset will not function.
• If the handset beeps 3 times and “Error!!” is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1.
• You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] on the base unit.

Sounds like a defective handset or base unit. Unplug the base unit from power and the telephone jack. Leave unplugged for 1 minute, this sometimes helps the phone to reset from a problem. Unplug the battery from the handset and plug back in after a minute also to help reset. Place your handset in the base unit for about 1 minute to allow the handset to link up with the base unit. If this doesn't work you may have a defective phone. Contact Panasonic support for further information if this does not work.

press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). If you like, you can unregister with the "old" base unit first.
