If the beep is constant, you will need to remove and reseat your ram/memory stick. Be sure to dust the slots thoroughly with a fine bristle brush first, then examine the slots with a magnifying glass to be sure there is no dust or debris preventing proper contact.
While you are in there, make sure that all of your pci (white slots) cards are seated properly in their slots.

You should have a recovery cd, it will allow you to reinstall Windows. If you don't have even that then either borrow one from a friend and use it with you key (the one on the sticker), or order a new disk by following this

I have a HP Pavilion dv6700 special/limited edition. I start it up, and all lights turn on and i can hear the computer is on. But the screen is black. And then I hear a beeping sound three times. First one...

Sounds like you have a memory problem. Either a RAM module is defective & needs to be replaced, or the slot where the RAM module goes into is not making good contact between the motherboard & the memory module, & needs to be cleaned.

Try first cleaning the RAM module slot with a non-oily contact cleaner. Leave it to dry for few minutes then install the RAM module & test if the computer will turn on. If it does not, replace the RAM module with a working one & test again.

HP Pavilion 523n will not turn on

have you added any hardware recently or opened the case for any reason?  the power supply is often the first thing to go on computers.  if it is still under warranty, you might need to send it off.
if you want to try it yourself, i'd say open your case and make sure the power cable to the motherboard is connected securely (there should be a 20 pin connector and possibly a separate 4 pin connector).  of course, make sure the power chord is connected securly to the back of the computer.  make sure the psu is on 115 instead of 220 (unless you need 220).
good luck!

Slow initial Start up ????

Your computer is trying to load a lot of programs on startup. Click Start --> Run, type msconfig. A window will appear, and on the Startup tab uncheck all startup programs and reboot. Then go back to msconfig and check the programs that you need.

> check numlock LED status glowing or not.
> If numlock LED glowing it means cpu working fine
only problems with monitor
>If numlock LED not glowing its mean problems with cpu
> if problems with CPU Find check RAM may have dusting problems.
