Re: HTC P3300 GPS not showing correct location
Most GPS systems have some inaccuracies. The accuracy of you GPS system depends on your location, the number of satellites available on your location, if you are inside a building or in open field. Also standing between buildings increases inaccuracy. So most of the time there is a deviation from your location. An inaccuracy of 30-50 meters is not xtremely bad for a GPS receiver in your phone. Try to go to a place without buildings, trees close around you, best is to do this with a clear sky, and give the GPS receiver some time to find satellites and calculate it's position. Now the inaccuracy should be no more than about 20 meters. I don't know the quality of the receiver in your HTC, but I think a accuracy of 20 meters should be possible.
Please post some feedback: where are you when you get inaccuracy of 50 meters? what's the inaccuracy when you are in open field?

It's as simple as that.
1. Enable bluetooth on your HTC phone.
2. Tap 'Start' > 'Internet sharing'.
3. From the 'PC connection' drop-down list, seletec 'Bluetooth PAN.'
4. Tap 'Connect'.
5. Enable bluetooth on your computer/laptop.
6. Go to 'Conenction Manager'.
7. Select 'Conenct via bluetooth'.
Both devices will be in sync now enabling you transfer data.
The two software items which you get updates are the 'Windows MobileOS' and the 'Quck GPS', if your have subscribed to GPRS from your GSM service provider. The QuickGPS update can be obtained after pressing the left-bottom key (or Program>QuickGPS) and follow instructions as displayed on your 3300. The other update is from Settings>system>WindowsUpdate
The p3300 connects to the internet via Wi-Fi, GPRS or mobile phone network. Start with Settings>Connections>Connections and make your choice. you would need access and password information as well as private network information handy
It sounds like your not able to access the internet on the device , try going to a normal webpage and then you can check if it loads it most probably wont. if that is the case you will need to contact your network to get the settings. ( Most networks will brand the device with there own name it can be helpful to find what this is before calling .) once you have done this then you will be able to download the quick gps settings . The special GPRS mentioned above is only the networks name for there GPRS service.
After this is done you may notice that you still arent able to use your GPS to find your location that is because you need to select the port that the GPS device is on
1.Tap start > settings
2. Tap the system tab
3. Select the GPS option
4. In the drop-down box that is entitled GPS program port select COM4
5. Tap Hardware tab , Gps hardware port should be ( None ) and baud rate 4800
6. Tap access tab and then select manage GPS automatically tickbox
7. Now click ok then x
You will now need to setup MAPKing to use COM port 4 as the GPS device this will now allow you to use your GPS properly
