Easy way to restore Dictionary in Samsung GT-S3850 Corby 2
You need only: 1. Your Corby phone memory space at least 7mb (in Phone, not memory card) 2. Internet Access.
You can download dictionary from your phone Menu/Dictionary/Download a Dictionary, choose dictionary (Corby 2 Dictionary built in is English to English) then download it,.. Downloading..... Wait until the notice comes out from the top of the screen "File Downloaded", tap on notice and install, go back to your dictionary in phone menu, tap on English to English and Set, Well done.
If you already download/installed but nothing's happen, just follow the 3 steps below.
1st. Make sure to DELETE the ".dic" file that you've download to your phone (dictionary file name contains CollinsEng*.dic) can be found/restore in "My Files/Others". It was hidden, but it can be shown and never be hidden again once you restart your phone. So you better check again and delete the file if you found it.
2nd. You need to use the system Defualt theme. (if you're using other/downloaded themes, go to "My Files/Themes/Defualt theme.smt" and set to change ur theme to default).
3rd. Set your "WAP downloads defualt memory" to Phone. (located at "Settings/Memory/Defualt memory - WAP Downloads set to Phone , not in memory card, because the dictionary need to be saved in phone)
After the 3 steps, Try again to download a dictionary. (How to process? ...just read above)
You can revert the changes of your phone after installing dictionary.
Just download one from the net, copy and paste it in your memory card using theUSB data cable, and open it using your phone. It will automatically install the file. No need for other software to have it installed. Also, not all sis files are compatible with the 5233. I suggest you visit ownskin.com if you want free sis files. I find mio akiyama very cute. Hope this helps!! or you could also try this... hi follow these steps
1. Transfer the .sis file to your phone via IR/BT/Cable,(or wap using the wap id).
2. Locate the .sis file using the built in "File Manager" app (in the tools menu),and install the theme to the location of your choice (mmc/phone memory).
3. You can now delete the .sis file.
4. Click on Themes in the main menu, and move left or right to select the memory location you installed the theme to,then select "apply"
Using P2Kman, download the file /a/WebSession Open this file in your XVI32. You'll see the information from each profile under Web Access > Web Sessions To unlock a web session, find the name of the web session in the file on the text side. Look at the three offsets prior to the first letter on the hex side. You should see 03 05 00. (You may see 01 05 00.) Change the middle number to "04". (You should have 03 04 00 or 01 04 00.) Reupload the WebSession file to the /a/ directory. Make sure you change the attribute on the file to "4" Restart your phone and you can now edit or delete that web session!
Installation procedureFirst of all you need to have Samsung PC Studio installed on your computer. To download it, go to Samsung Download Center and choose the model name of your mobile.Installation using Samsung PC Studio:
Connect phone to PC
Run Samsung PC Studio if not running
Open file manager (Click "Manage Files")
Copy .jad and .jar to "Other Files" folder on phone. (You can download these files from our website)
Disconnect phone and go to "Other Files", run .jad file to install and run the application.
If a message "Unsupported file format" appears, then it means that installing applications from PC is blocked in your mobile. In that case the simplest solution is to install per WAP. There are also ways to bypass this limitation and unblock the mobile. Try to search Google for eg. "C3300 Champ install jar" (witnout quotation marks) or "Samsung GT-C3300 Champ Unsupported file format"
try this... " Download blueFTP any version on your mobile... now run this application on your mobile... there it will show u two drives C (phone memory) and D (memory card)... go to the file location in the application... select it and from options see its properties check the write option..."
THIS IS THE EASIEST FIX:1.

on your n95, go to c: drive, then "cache" and delete EVERY file in
there (I had about 600 files) but not the "VSS" sub-directory.3. check
your n95 internet browser... it works again!! (you may need to power off
& on first)
service provider and ask them to send you the settings for the
WAP/INTERNET/PEPPER service. When you receive the msg SAVE or INSTALL

no joy, try...If you use PC Suite download Opera browser for your phone,

thats cos your phone does not install a jar file like other phones for your safety. to install a jar file on your phone you'll have to download it with your phones wap browser, when the download completes, the jar file has been installed.
- You need to make sure your server handles the jad/jar MIME type correctly - Be sure to double-check the URL in your jad file to point to the fully qualified path of the jar file - Make sure the MIDlet size parameter is set correctly
