If you check the properties of chrome exe you will notice it is currently running in compatibility mode, uncheck it so that it runs normally and it should now work!

When I installed google chrome again an error appeared naming "the application was unable to start correctly (0*c00000a5). Click OK to close the application". I uninstalled it becuase the same...


That seems to happen when people mix 64-bit and 32-bit environments; either you're using RunAs in a weird way or the Intel exception BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (which you got; it's not about you, though) is your particular installation of Windows' way of whining that MSIE should be tops on your list. Maybe you need to pick a different version (e.g. 32bit) of Chrome...usually if you install on the same machine you downloaded chrome by (from chrome.google.com) you should be fine, though!

It's pretty logical for a program you uninstalled to not run anymore, on the other hand. You get to reinstall chrome from a new download and see if things improve.

1-Right click on chrome shortcut.
2-Click on the Compatibility tab.
3-Uncheck Windows XP compatiblity.
4-Click Apply, if available.
5-Close the Properties dialog.
6-Chrome should now work.
This worked for me with Windows 7.

What is 0xc000000a5 error? This error is the Hexadecimal format of the error caused. This code is used by the vendor to identify the error caused. This error code has a numeric error number and a technical description. In some cases the error may have more paremeters in 0xc00000a5 format.
How to easily fix 0xc000000a5 error. there are 2 ways to fix this error. 1) Start your computer and log on as administrator. 2) Click the Start button then select All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click System Restore. 3)In the window, select "Restore my computer to an earlier time" option and then click Next. 4) Select the most recent system restore point from the "On this list, click a restore point" list, and then click Next. 5) Click Next on the confirmation window. 6) Restart the computer when the restoration is finished.

Here a step on how to fix this error.

1. Go to: C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application
2. Right Click on Chrome.exe and select Properties.
3. Open the Compatibility Tab.
4. Check = Run this program in compatibility mode for:
5. Choose your OS. then Click apply and OK!

Which version of google chrome have you installed?
I have found that this issue exists when you use the beta version of the google chrome I would ask you to install the latest version of google chrome and check. Here is the link to download it.
