What was the solution to your problem. I've got a 42pq6000, also about 18 months old. In my case, I have a red screen, its as if I have lost the green and blue channels. Funnily though the menu is in full technicolor. Any thoughts?

I have a Toshiba 50hpx95 plasma tv with a blinking red light. I have already replaced the power supply board and the problem is still there. I need help

I'm no TV expert, but I can share what little knowledge I have, specially what I went through with my plasma TV. It happen in mine, and I got the Y Board fix. When mine was blinking, there was no power, but it wasn't the power board, so searching for an answer in the internet, I found out that it could be one of the boards (Y board or Z board) In my case was the Y board, so I took it to a professional and he fix it for me. IF possible search for: How to troubleshoot TV Y Board.

I have a five year old Vizio P50HDTV20. While watching it the other day the center 1/3 of the screen went black from top to bottom. The left third and right third are fine. This condition persists with...

Sorry the problems,ur tv it is having,it can't be repair, the tv Plasma screen panel itself it is shorted and dead, that why the tv plasma screen panel have only a third of the plasma screen panel it have a good clear picture and the other 1/3 of the tv plama screen panel is black and dead. The tv that have a broken or shorted dead plasma screen panel it is not worth repairing, because only way repair it is by replacing the whole entire plasma screen panel itself. The tv plasma screen are about 90% of the cost of the tv and can't buy it anywhere else except the tv corporations dealers themselves.Sorry tv now, only can be salvages for those electronic boards for parts that it.

No its not the screen that is dead. Your tv's digital video processing circuits are malfunctioning. Replacing the main board should resolve the problem. I can find you a replacement if you wish to fix it yourself

Sony 42"

yes. because in problems like this it is the plasma which is dead almost.

the dead plasma is trying to pick up and it dies.

it happens some times. one in a 200 units. which turn out to be faulty.

its just luck to get a good unit. but if the TV s under warrant cover you can get a full replacement for free.

how old is this unit?
