My dishwasher won't drain after its cycle - I suctioned it out and cleaned around the drain. I ran a light wash cycle and the same thing happened.

it would first try cleaning out all the filters inside the dishwasher then run it again. And if it still sounds like the wash motor is grinding or humming badly then you may have a seizing wash motor. And if it doesn't drain well either you may have food caught in the drain motor as well. And cleaning it out if you find a lot of debris may help. But if after cleaning that too and still doing the same thing you will need to replace the drain moto

Top drawer DD603 won't drain. Filters all cleaned now but were very dirty when we took possession . Can;t find the drain hose to see if it is blocked or kinked. Any help please? zancol

After we removed the center blue rotor from ours we put about 4 inches of warm water in the dishwasher, then took our shop vac and vacuumed from the center hole where the rotor was and the suction cleaned out the passageway from the filter area to the rotor area. Then we ran it on the "rinse" cycle and it was running perfectly again. I hope this helps you.

Slow or no drain of water. cleaned out sump covers and ran drain cleaner thru cycle. looking for possible secondary filter.

Hi, if the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check the drain line and pump..

A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.
Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

Hope it helps...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose-filter assembly or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter located inside the front bottom panel for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. Take off the bottom access panel to clean the drain pump filter and hose. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have a whirlpool quiet partner 1 dishwasher. I ran a load and it worked fine, after the load finished the clean light keeps blinking and I cant do anything but cancle/drain. Is there something I can try...

Hello, Welcome to FixYa. This is the first thing I'd try, based on your description. On your control panel...If you press these buttons in sequence with the door closed it should reset the error code and you can run another cycle to see if it was a "one off" or if a problem does exist. Hi-temp wash-heated dry, hi-temp wash-heated dry...this should start an abbreviated diagnostic/test program which will run for a couple of minutes, let it complete. The clean lite being on indicates there was a heating fault during the last cycle, but there are many things which could cause this, the first step is to reset it and see what happens next cycle. Let me know how you make out and we can move forward from there. Good luck. Regards, Macmarkus :)

The clean light is blinking diswasher won't start

Push these buttons in this order High temp wash > Heated dry>High temp wash >Heated dry all the lights will come on and this will reset the board and run it through a short test cycle but more than likely it will come up again,It's a failure in the heating cycle either the heater itself or the turbidity sensor which sits mounted up into the tub right behind the drain pump...hope this helps

Dishwasher does not drain...stops in cycle...no matter what cycle

HI, this is a control fault. the logic chips are malfunctioning. these chips are responsible for initiating the proper washing cycle sequences. you will need to replace this damaged control board asap.

The clean light sometimes flashes and just needs to be reset. To do so hit the keys in the following order. <Heated Dry> <Normal Wash> <Heated Dry> <Normal Wash> <Cancel>.
The dishwasher will go through a cancel cycle (drain the tub) and will then let you start it up again.
