Question about Computers & Internet

My keyboard and mouse

I have a Gateway wirless mouse and wireless keyboard. I was working and a message kept popping up about channel and ID. The last time this happened all I had to do was change the batteries in the mouse and everything was fine. This time I changed them and nothing happened so I pushed the button on the back of the mouse. Again nothing happened! So then I changed the batteries in the keyboard. Still nothing...then I pushed the button on the back of the keyboard. Nada! Please help me what do I need to do to get them (keybaord and mouse) to reconnect? Did I mention that the little red light on the mouse blinks like crazy? I even tried to restart the computer at the tower and nothing happened after I turned it back on.

Mouse connects but keyboard doesn't. Installed software doesn't have keyboard support, only a mouse tab. keyboard is ex100 installed on Lenovo ideacemtre

Your keyboard should have some type of button on the bottom that "resets" it. Your keyboard has bounced to a new channel that is not recognized by the reciever. I kept having this problem so now I use a wireless mouse but, a corded keyboard.

Get some rechargable batteries. 10 days is quite good, I change mine about twice a week but the PC is in constant use!

i would try rolling back the driver or seeing if there is an upgraded driver for the hardware...goto cotrol panel, system, then on a tab itll say hardware, click on that then hardware profiles, click on that and find the keyboard (should be at th top) then prefferences then either update driver (id try that 1st) if that doesnt work try rollback driver.

I contacted Gaeway Support. They quickly answered and suggested that I change the batteries in my wireless mouse and/or keyboard. I did. It was the mouse. As soon as the new batteries were in, the popup went away and stayed away.
