Sir,
when I open a Windows MP3 Player and play a mp3 file then it says, "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly." Pls help me out to tackle this problem. from which web site should I download the sound device?

Can you specify your sound device? Go to Start->Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices, and click on the Hardware tab.

It can be that the sound card driver is not properly installed. You may check that on the Device Manager of your laptop. If it's not properly installed, it needs to be uninstalled from the Device Manager and reinstall it by using the driver installation CD that came with your laptop or you may download it on this link.

The link already contains the instructions on how to install the driver of the adapter.
