I had a power surge at home after a power outage. The outlet works, the Tv was plugged into it, but the Wii doesnt have power.

I had the same problem today. I tried everything and was fixing to take it back to the store. I unpluged the console from the wall for about 5 minutes and plugged it back in and it started working again. You might try that before trying to send it off or take it back.

Our wii is about 6 years old. It was working fine yesterday, today it doesnt even act likes it's getting power. No lights come on. Reset doesn't work, switched outlets...nothing happening.

Wii console's are known to over-heat. Try letting it cool down for a day with no power cables plugged in. Try and turn it on the next day, and if it doesn't work, my best guess is that it over-heated to the point of giving up. And when you plug it back in, blow in all the ports and cables just to be safe. If none of this works, it is either broken or needs more expertise than I can give.

I can not get my wii console to turn on tried

1-make sure wires are connected correctly, and nothing is traping them ..

2- make sure the electric socket is working ..

3- if that doesnt work send it back to nintendo they will fix it and get your Cd, make sure its in the warranty or they will charge you..

The wii console its not turning on !!

Make sure the batteries are not dead in the controllers for turning it on.
Next, check all plugs on the console to make sure theyre pluged it all the way if any. Try it again, if it still doesnt work, check to see if your warranty expired yet. Most likely it hasnt. Next call nintendo for support and see if you may have to ship it in. Whatever is wrong with it right now, is nothing that cant be fixed or replaced.
You can also try using a different power adapter to see if thats the problem. If its not turning on, or no lights are, obviously not enough power is getting to the WII. Sometimes the fuse in the power adapters plug in can blow, check that and replace it if needed.

Console itself....

You should try to reset the game data by hitting home and rest while playing your game, if that doesnt work go to Wii main menu, THEN hit reset button on the Wii system. And that should do mthe trick it worked for my family!

When you turned off the Wii, did the light turn red or amber?
If you haven't done this already, hold the power button until it shuts off, and the light is red. Power it back up and try your remote again.
