Question about Brookstone Optics

Open Question

My Brookstone binoculars (10x25) have a black composite material where you hold on to them. They have been stored in their case in my drawer. I took them out one day to use them and the composite material started coming off on my hands. It was a sticky mess and very hard to get the stuff off my hands. They are now unusable because you get this material all over yourself whenever you touch them. Brookstone refuses to do anything about ti. Any suggestions?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: What kind of USB cable comes with Sharper Image 10x25 binoculars

Go onto the www.Sharperimage.com web site if you look it will tell you that Sharperimage are in receivership but they do point you in the direction of a support comapny called N.E.W.

In reality you should be able to buy those leads from any decent camera shop or a place like Tandy

The Brookstone digital camera binoculars are aka Celestron VistaPix 10x25. The drivers for Win98, Win2K, WinME and WinXP can be found at:

http://downloads.celestron.com/index.php?subdir=filedownloads%2Fdrivers%2Fvistapix%2Fvistapix_drivers_72202%2FDriver&sortby=name

I used the XP driver on my Vista Ultimate and it worked. Download the zip file, extract it somewhere you can remember. Plug in the camera and direct the windows driver installation to the "WIN XP" folder that you just unzipped. Happy hunting!
