Question about Compaq Presario Notebook
I've had my laptop for 2 years and have gone through 2 hard drives, presumably (according to the technician) due to overheating or 'bumping' it. i don't use my laptop as much more than a desktop so jarring is not likely the issue...i was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with the v2000, or if this could be a fan issue, as seems to be fairly common...it has never shut down on me, but does at times feel quite hot...the fan turns on, but perhaps is not doing enough? thanks for the input
Yes, this is a fairly common problem with the v200o, caused by a lack of good fan airflow. Your best bet in using it would be to get a laptop pad. This will not only keep your laptop cooler, it will prevent your legs from blocking the fans when it is on your lap.
