If the motherboard still power on it. You can test it to identify where is the fault.
first remove the memory..if you use ad on video card then remove it. if it is built in then only the memory to be remove.
Power on/switch on the PC. If here any beeps then probably ..You rmotherboard is OK and the Processor. If not hear any beeps.. then, examine the processor and the motherboard..You can check the processor by inserting it to the other motherboard with thesame socket to your motherboard.
and motherboard can be determine if it fault tru seeing touching some chips which overheating. or by inserting other working processor in it.
If hear beeps on the PC, then insert the memory and then test..if not resolve then, remove the memory and clean with soft material or eraser. then insert it back, Again if not resolve time to replace the memory.
