A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I bought this devise in USA last year where it worked very well.I fished it out the other day but it doesn't work here why?

When you mean does not work, does the unit power up or is it plain dead? If it does not turn on, then you will need to troubleshoot or send out for repair.

If it turns on, but does not provide you with maps, you need to load maps for Australia as you currently have US maps loaded on the device.

Google search for Australia maps for your unit, or contact Garmin customer service.

Device hangs up when loading maps.

Try performing a soft reset of the nuvi 1310 by holding the power button for at least 10 seconds until the unit powers up.

A hard reset can also be done.
To perform a hard reset :
Note: A hard reset will erase all waypoints or Favorites and will restore your unit to the default factory settings. If you would like to back up your Favorites to your computer, you can find instructions to do so here.

• Start with the unit OFF and unplugged from power
• Press and hold the lower right corner of the screen
• Continue pressing and holding the lower right hand corner of the screen then power the unit ON
• Release the power button when the device powers ON
• You will see a new message: Do you really want to erase all user data?
Remove your finger from the touchscreen when this message displays
• Touch Yes

Also, be sure that the nuvi 1310 has the latest software update by installing and running the Garmin WebUpdater program.
Load or reload the latest software update as this will usually resolve most issues.

You may also want to contact Garmin Support for assistance.

Garmin 275T keeps powering off

Well everyday you leave it is a day less of warranty. I suspect the maps hav been corrupted
If you know how to reinstall the maps then it will work. After the agree page it looks for the Exe file to load the maps. i suspect that is damaged or not there.

We just bought a new garmin GPS and i just wanted to ask if you have the new maps

Go to the Garmin website and register the GPS. It will check to see if you have the latest maps and if not, you will be able to update your unit. If you bought it from a retailer and it was just turned on for the first time, Garmin will give you any updates free for I think 60 days. If you bought it from a private party and it has been turned on in the past, Garmin will know this isn't a new unit and you will have to pay for the map update (about $75.00) You can't "fool" Garmin and get free updates unless the unit has never been powered up within the 60 days!

Garmin Street Pilot 7200 will not load maps

I had the same problem on my StreetPilot 7200 after many edits of many routes. Suspect a scratchpad memory heap getting used up or fragmented had to hold the power button in for 15 seconds or until a message that says press yes to clear all data appears then quickly press yes before unit shuts down
This corrected the problem until the next time the heap gets fragmented but loss of all waypoints is the downside
