I've tried that and no luck. As I'm not a practical person I think I need to find someone who can service Rock-Ola Juke Boxes, know anyone?

The mechanism of the changer must be reset. for this you will have to see the mechanical links from the size settings to the linkages in the loading /dropping levers.
Look for any signs of the drive mechanism being tight or caught up.
Use some good cleaner spray to wash off any friction on the moving parts. There canot be any other issue than that the record size selector is not correcting the main drive to react to the set condition.
So start from this point and look at the latch on the central stem which is triggered for the record drop . false drop without the cycle gettting complete.
Use your manual action to turn and see the progress of the movement of the mechanism to identify the fault. but make sure you understand the sequence of the cycle.

It sounds like it needs cleaning. Read the following web blog about a person fixing their jukebox, it might help you solve your problem:
http://www.rustykey.com/jukebox/repairs.html
This sounds like it's going to be the contacts on the selection board, so clean them thoroughly with a qtip and electrical contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.
Good luck, thanks for using FixYa, and hope this helps. (please rate this if it helped you, thanks!)

When I play a record, and the gripper arm is in front the tone arm lands on the wheel and does not land on the 45

Some decks have a selector switch for 7inch and 12inch records. You need to find it and select the 7 setting. However you will need to switch it back to 12 if you want to play an LP.

The tone arm drops onto the record, but then continues moving across the record without playing the record. Anyone know what's going on?

Does the needle actually contact the record? If not, you may be missing a "pad" under the record, or you may be simply missing the needle that needs to be there to follow the grooves.

Record player repair

The top arm that swings over the spindle will control the automatic return. Leave the unit off. Swing the overhead holding top arm over and manually load a record. Now switch the top arm over the niddle spindle. Make sure that the switch is set for 7", 10" or 12" (45, 78, or 33). Manually place the tonearm at the start of the record and flip switch to 'play' (not reject or auto). It should play the whole record and automatically eject at the end and then shut off. Leave the arm swung over the middle after you loaded the record. Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.

This is a belt drive turntable so it could be the belt slipping about. Before you remove the belt note where it fits.

My console can only play 45 rpm records

There should be a record size selector switch somewhere. It will move the arm to the positions for 12inch 7inch and 10inch records. It must be set to 7inch or 10 at the moment. For 33 it should be on '12' and for 45 on '7'.

2900 Keeps playing records

THE WURLITZER JUKEBOX WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY SONGS AS LONG AS ONE OR MORE, SELECTING PINS (THERE ARE 200 IN THE 2900 ONE FOR EACH SONG. THE PINS ARE IN LOWER SECTION OF THE CASE. BETWEEN THE SPEAKERS , AND LOWER DOOR.)
REMOVE LOWER BACK DOOR. WATCH THE ARM THAT STOPS ON THE NEXT RECORD, BECAUSE THE PIN IS UP. AFTER STOPPING ON THE PIN, THE ARM PUSHES THE PIN DOWN. THAT IS THE NORMAL OPERATION. IF THE PIN, IS NOT PUSHED DOWN, IT WILL PLAY THAT OR ANY OTHER SONG THAT HAS A PIN IS RAISED UP. THE PINS ARE THE MECHANICAL MEMORY FOR THAT JUKEBOX.
TURN OFF POWER, ==PUSH ALL PINS DOWN== THE SONGS WILL STOP PLAYING. THEN MAKE A SONG SELECTION. THE ONE PIN WILL POP UP THE MACHINE SHOULD PLAY THAT SONG.
WATCH THE ARM THAT STOPPED TO PLAY THE SONG, PUSH THE PIN DOWN. THAT IS THE SEQUENCE OF THE 2900 MACHINE,
WHAT CAN GO WRONG IS AS FOLLOWS. ==THE ARM DOES NOT PUSH PIN DOWN== THE ARM MISSES PIN== THE ARM NEED OIL, IT IS NOT LUBRICATED.==.

Downloaded songs appear in iTunes library but won't play on comp

I had exactly the same problem and followed the OP's solution, which worked, but I couldn't hear the track as it was being recorded.  So I tweaked the solution.  If you do the following, you don't have to keep changing System Preferences as you switch from record to listening:
Go to System Preferences, press the Sound icon, and click on "Sound Effects."  Then select the drop down menu and select "Play alerts and sound effects through selected sound output device" rather than the USB choice.  Then click on "Output" and select how you want to listen; I used speakers so I selected "Headphones" where the port is "Built-in audio."  Then click on "Input" and select the USB choice.  Now record a track and you can hear it being recorded through your speakers (or headphones).  When it's done recording and after the software transfers it to iTunes, you can play it again through your speakers without going to the preferences panel.

Problem playing 45 Records to their entirety.

There is an adjustment on the tone arm that you use to set where the tone arm picks up at the end of the record. This adjustment is normaly at the back (pivot point) of the tone arm and will be on the side probably. By the way, the tone arm is the part that the stylus is mounted to that swings back and forth to reach all the surface of the record. Make your adjustment and then test and continue doing this until you get it just where you want it. It is a process of trial and error. Good luck.
