Hello,

Maybe drivers of the device is not correct ..uninstall the old drivers and then update with new drivers. If you have CD utilities enclosed from the vendor(onmotherboard) then insert it and install all the drivers. starting from the chipset upto the last drivers. (audio drivers is included) and then restart the computer and test the speaker. besure the speaker is working.

If not resolve the issue, try to examine the audio port maybe loss connection. this is all the solution you need if not solve the problems then maybe you should install the add -on audio card.

Very possibly you muted the sound. Check the little speaker icon in the system tray. When you click it you should see if it is muted or not. Muting the speaker does not mute the headphones, as a general rule.

You can try to install the latest driver for your sound card.

Here's what you need to do to download the latest sound card driver for your pc
1. Access the link below.
2. On select product family, click "desktop"
3. On select product line, click "aspire"
4. On select product model, select the model of your laptop (example: Aspire T180)
5. All the drivers for that model will be listed below under DRIVER tab. download the sound card driver.
6. Click the download arrow button on the left part of the driver name to start downloading.
7. Save the files, unzip and install to your PC.

Problem with acer aspire t180, SOUNDCARD don't work0.


If running XP:

Two things to check

Open Control Panel and select Sound and Audio. In the new window select the Audio tab and make sure your sound card is selected as the default playback device.

or

Open Computer management, click the plus sign by "Services and applications" and highlight "Services".
Scroll down to Windows audio and check that the service is started.

.Its also possible that a windows update caused this (sometimes malware or virus)

I had the same problem a few months ago, i also looked to see if i saw a mute function that was active anywhere.
I did not find anything so i just reinstalled the application and my problem was fixed. At the link below you can find the realtek audio app. for xp and vista.

Hp dv71245dx cannot remove from muted state.

Go to Control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume. Check that Device Volume is at least halfway across the slider and that Mute is unchecked. Go to Advanced and make sure that nothing is mute. Go to Speaker Volume and set the sliders at least halfway across the slider. Go to Advanced, and in Speakers setup choose Laptop Stereo Speakers (if that's what you have). Go to Performance and choose Restore Defaults. Click Apply > OK

Acer aspire desk top t180 has no sound


Sounds like he forgot to plug back in the sound cable when he took his iPod out. Simple fix for this. Pull out the desktop box (computer) and find what should be a green sound cable and plug it into a green port in the back of your computer. If your having trouble as to what it looks like, get your son to identify what he took out of your desktop to listen to his iPod and plug it back in. Also check that your speakers are turned on and are up on the speakers and on your desktop, which you can find in the bottom right hand corner near your desktop clock. The icon looks like a speaker and just click on it once and make sure its up all the way and not muted. Let me know if this works or not

No audio from nothing cd, flash player etc.


Have you checked your audio settings to see if it was muted by accident?

Also, did it work before, and suddenly stopped? Have you changed anything on the computer?
Did you check to see if the speakers are still connected? (the green out port on the computer) or that the power connection to the speakers is connected and on.
Do you get any sound from the speakers on boot?

go to the control panel ... first under the device manage in system / hardware check that the drivers for your sound card are installed .... next go to the sound section in the control panel and make sure the proper device is selected fro playback ... make sure nothing is muted ... other things that can mess up your sound include onboard sound disabled in BIOS, bad connections or bad speaker power supply ... also you can test the audio output using headphones

Please see that you have not muted the sound device;

First check whether your speakers are on monitor (builtin) Or System Builtin;
No got Control panel Select> Sound Speech and audio devices>Sound and audio devices>See the audio tab.

Else you may see in the device manager that you have installed drivers or no;

No sound speakers dont work


make sure that all of the colored cables match the jacks, also, use the volume control manager in the start menu under accessories to make sure that all of the audio channels are turned on, and that it is setup for you configuration such as 2 speakers, 3 speakers and a sub woofer, ETC..., and not muted. If all else fails, go to the device manager buy right clicking my computer and selecting properties, and then go to the hardware tab. look for sound video and game controllers, if any of them have a yellow (!) by them they most likely need drivers. else, try uninstalling all of the audio ones, and restarting your machine. When it comes back up, follow the steps in the add new hardware wizard.
