According to Samsung the S600 series is compatible with Vista

Try installing the latest drivers from their site.

Let me know how you get on. If it works please rate as 'fixya'. If it does not then get back to me and we can try something else.

Cheers

Many times the older version drivers will work as new released operating systems try to be backwards compatible with software. Try loading the XP software or search the Canon website for updated software for your model.

I have a finepix s5500 camera but the softwear is xp and i need a vista version, is it possible.

All Fujifilm digital cameras will work on Windows Vista using drivers already installed on the operating system.

The finepix viewer software supplied with our cameras will require a update which can be downloaded from the following link

Unable to install scanner

Cant find such a scanner, are you sure of the model "performance", If it is not Vista compatable, ie if Epson have not released a Vista driver, then it is not going to work with Vista.

See Epson web and download driver if available, if not change scanner or operating system or purchase software

Check your Epson product CD to see if it already contains Windows Vista drivers. If the CD indicates support for Windows Vista, follow the instructions that came with your Epson product to install your driver and other software.

If your Epson CD does not indicate support for Windows Vista, DO NOT INSERT YOUR EPSON PRODUCT SOFTWARE CD IN YOUR WINDOWS VISTA COMPUTER because the setup program is not compatible with Windows Vista. Instructions for installing additional software from your CD may be available with your driver download.

Note: If you already have ArcSoft PhotoImpression™ 5 installed on your Windows Vista computer, you may need to install a "patch" program. Go to the ArcSoft website to download and install the patch.

Products that are not Vista compatable are not capatable with Vista, who would figure hey!!

I can not get the softwear onto my computer

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

Can't install software for D53 on my new Vista PC

If it is older software, it is probably not made to run on Vista Operating Systems. I would check the market for something Vista compatible. Samsung might even have updated software on their website for purchase. But you might want to do some bargain hunting around the net first.
Or you could always just connect the camera to the computer and copy the pictures into the "My pictures" folder on your computer. And with Vista's "Windows Image Viewer" (or something of that nature) you can do basic things to the photos, like adjust brightness, contrast, or saturation. You could also crop the photos, and more. The Vista provided image viewer is probably equal to what you could do to photos in the software.

Softwear for finepix camera

The A202 is a European model and they do not have updates for Vista that I could find. You can however find the updater program for the FinePix software that includes Vista. http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/ServiceSupportSoftwareContent.jsp?dbid=864214&prodcat=644675&sscucatid=664260
