External speakers won't work on HP T5570e Thin Client

Try to use earphones, plug them in to phone audio connector....
try if it works..... if so, disconnect them and plug speakers.... and try again.... if doesn't work, go to audio advanced setup and check if speakers are not muted, or set up voicevolume level is too low. Play with that setup....

Also some computers can turn on or off speakers in Bios.

If problem will not be solved, try to use USB speakers

Can't get sound out of my speakers although sound registers as playing

Check that your computer isn't muted and the volume on the speakers is up. Check that the plug for the speakers is connected correctly. Check to see if the sound card that the speakers are plugged into is set as the default in the control panel. Is there any sound coming out of the front port (earphones). Try another set of speakers.

When I plug in my headphones into the earphone jack on the HP xw4600 workstaion and play music i can hear the music from the 2.1 speaker

If you are saying when earphone plug is inserted you still have sound from speakers either jack on headphones is wrong(stereo or mono?) or the socket the jack plugs into is defective---when a jack is inserted it moves a leaf in the socket to turn the main speakers off.

if you go to the bios (restart computer and press del to go to setup) you should be able to look around and find the option for internal speaker. Set that option to disable and do not change anything else unless you know your way around. Save it and restart afterwards and it should disable the internal speakers.

Highlight the Speaker that you would like to modify the settings for, and click "properties"

I can not hear anything through my computer speakers. Website sounds, music, or the AOL welcome message. I can only hear if I connect a set of earphones

There should be an audio cord which is green at both ends one end should plug to the corresponding port in bak of your monitor the other should plug into the corresponding green port on your tower. If this doesnt work it may be a compatibility problem.

If your microphone has stopped working check to see if it is plugged in. If the drivers are installed correctly, and confirm that the diaphragm in the microphone has not blown.

Are you plugging them into the back? If so, check the audio headers on your motherboard. They'll look something like this:

Sound problem

Check the port you plug in the speaker jack, is it right one? try to use your earphone (for walkman, mp3) to listen to it. if it doesnt play sound, it might be the jack problems.
or the soundcard need to re-install the software (drivers), it might have conflict in programs.

- try to use your speaker with any other music player, such as mp3, walkman, discman.

Please inform me if this solved or not, to duliar@bniaga.co.id and doy_indra@yahoo.com

keep on trying...
